Does anyone know if you could do THIS with the DDP? :confused3

SO, I know some people do the premium plan for 1 night and get all the extras that go along with it. SO. . .this got me to wondering. . .

Is it possible to pay the extra to upgrade my DDP for ONE day/night to the DxDDP? I think this would be worth it for the one day of extra meals and snacks and our mugs but the full week we wouldn't use.

You can't upgrade the DDP for one night. You would have to upgrade for the number of nights you are in your resort.

You would have to essentially book a split stay and you'd be subject to the ticket purchase requirements on both stays. I believe that DVC stays using points have recently been changed so that you actually can use different dining plans for different portions of your stay and since there's no ticket requirement to buy a dining plan with DVC point stays you may want to consider renting DVC points in order to do what you're trying to do. Note this is the DxDDP, not the premium plan. Premium plan has its own rules.

Unless you are DVC and staying on points, you would have to upgrade the entire stay, or have two separate reservations. You CAN have a dining plan for a one-night stay, but it would have to be separate from the rest of your reservation. If you're on a package with tickets, the biggest problem you'd have with that is that you would be required to buy tickets with both reservations. The other is the possibility that you'll have to switch rooms.

If you are DVC, the answer will be very different. DVC members can now break their reservations into linked "segments" and add a different dining plan to each segment, should they so choose.
