Does anyone know how to replace

the blade in a snap-off blade wallpaper knife? Mine is by stanley. I've lost the instructions but have extra blades. Can't figger out how to get the dang thang open. Help?

Linda, is there a screw somewhere in the blade handle? If so, unscrew it, the outer casing should open, and replacement blades go inside, replace the casing, tighten the screw and you are good to go.

If that doesn't work, plan on bringing it in November when you come to visit and we'll have a looksie!!

Have you googled to see if instructions are on line? Somebody may even have a youtube video of how to do it!

I did, and went to the stanley website too and nothing I guess I could just pitch it and buy a new one, but i'm also ch - er FRUGAL

We've got something like that. The very end of the handle pulls out/off to get to the rachety thing that holds and pushes the snap-off blades up for use. (Sorry I can't explain it better.)

Why not call Stanley? They have a 1800 number. I'm sure they're used to people calling. They might even be nice enough to send you out new directions! I can't believe they didn't have something online for it!
