Hi everyone. I have used Priceline many times in the past and would like to use them again for our upcoming April trip. Our family of 6 has to have an apartment or villa type set up(2 bedrooms,2 bathrooms) Is there anyway to do this via priceline and be assured that we'll get what we need? TIA:bounce:

No, not really. BUT....I have had GREAT luck with www.vacationvillas.com. I paid 99.00 per night for a 3 bedroom 2 bath condo. Very easy to get to WDW. They also rent houses with pools.

I have used them 3 times. I got 2 bedroom, 2 bath condos for $260 for the week.
You get to pick the place you will stay at(based on availability), so it is not a guessing game like with Priceline. Try the ready, set, go auctions.

go to the dvc rent/trade board here
consider renting someones points.
the usually go $10 per point or so
there is a point calculator at the site there as well to see how many points you will need for the time you are going.
sun through fri stays are the cheapest
you may find you can stay right on property in luxury for the cost of a condo

-I rented a 3 bedroom villa for May. Close to disney. very nice I will
The email the site to you if you are interested email the owner, he is very nice. He will quote you a price. It has its own pool.

I don't think there is anyway to guarantee this on priceline, unless you do a vacation package that includes airfare; on the packages, you get to pick the hotel you stay in.

However, I will also put a vote of confidence in for skyauction; I haven't personally used it, but have friends who have, and got some fantastic deals. Just be sure to read the fine print before bidding; a lot of them have additional charges above and beyond your bid.

Another option is www.hotelkingdom.com. On our last trip to Disney, during President's Day Vacation Week last year, we got a 2 bedroom villa close to Disney for just $88 per night.

Good luck!

Even if you can book a villa through Priceline, I'd be awfully wary of doing so. Villas are much different than hotels. They are all privately owned by individuals, not huge hotel corporations. The quality, furnishings and amenities can vary dramatically. Before booking a villa, you should always see photos and, if possible, video of the actual place you will be renting.

Two sites I'd recommend:

http://www.vrbo.com/vrbo/flcentral.htm

http://www.windsor-palms-resort.com/

I've recently stayed in a 3-bedroom, 2-bath condo at Windsor Palms. We paid $90/nite for a 1400 square-foot unit that was beautiful and extremely well equipped.

I'd disagree, Steve....most of the villas where I've stayed *are* owned by big corporations, Marriott and Sheraton among them. Although there certainly are many in the Disney area that are privately owned, I didn't want the OP to think there weren't any that were more like hotels than personal homes. :)

I stand corrected. By villa, I wasn't thinking of the major timeshare resorts or suite hotels. I was thinking of the pool homes and condos that are privately owned. You are absolutely right that suite accomodations are available through Marriott, Sheraton, Holiday Inn, Homewood, and many others in the Disney area. Those are very nice units and some are part of quite nice resorts. If properties such as those are available thru Priceline then I'd have no problem at all going that route.

I guess my confusion arose from the term "villa" which means different things to different people.
