a tattoo that they need to cover up? If you do what do you use and how well is it covered. I know you cant have visible tattoos but I have one on the top of my foot. I can't spend a ton of money on coverups but if it works I will try it. I don't want to be sent home because my tattoo is too visible. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Can it be covered up by a shoe (like a tennis shoe)? If not, then you might have to get longer socks or wear pants. I think longer socks would be the best, just ones that go past your ankle. I know there are some socks that have a thick top so you can't see through it easily.

it can be covered by a shoe or sock but if I have to wear heels or a flat it will show

I'm sure there's a pair of shoes that are disney look that will be able to cover it up.

What role are you after?

You don't have to wear heels or flats in the parks while performing your role, so you're okay there, unless you're a face character, in which case I'm not sure.

As for Traditions and such - you could wear close-top shoes with some height in the back, or you could get black tights that you can't see through, and wear those with pants or a skirt and heels.

Well I my top three are FSFB, attractions, and merchandise. I am not worried about merchandise and attractions but FSFB I am. I can't remember what kind of shoes the hostess wear at different restaurants! I can pretty much cover it up with foundation and coverup if I am going to wear tights you cant see it. But without them you can still see it.

There is makeup you can buy that is made specifically to cover up tattoos.. you can get it pretty much anywhere makeup is sold.

So I had my interview today and she said there are only two roles I could not do with having a foot tattoo. They are BBB and Lifeguard. I feel better because I did not pick either of those. I can't even swim lol :rotfl:

Oy, I was gonna ask this question too -- I have a wrist tattoo. It's been no problem to use makeup to cover it up before when I've had to, but is that good enough for Disney? Hilariously enough, it's actually the WDW symbol -- the lat & long globe with mickey ears.

Is this gonna get me rejected? Can I use makeup to cover it up or long sleeves?

Here's what the Disney Look guide has to say about tattoos, for the most part:

Methods to conceal an unacceptable piercing or tattoo, such as using a bandage, are not permitted. For tattoo coverage, opaque makeup will be permitted if it completely conceals the tattoo.

So yeah, it seems that as long as you can conceal it well it shouldn't be a problem :) And as for the foot tattoo, you won't have to worry about it except for in Traditions or something, but make-up AND hosiery should be able to cover it up well, so I wouldn't worry about it. Good luck to both of you!!

I know I actually have two feet tattoos but one is on my heel and you can't see it if I am wearing shoes but it is of mickey mouse not like the picture of him but the three circles to form his head.

i was thinking about getting a tattoo on the back of both of my arms. but my top 3 for the cp are character performer attractions and fsfb. do alot of the costumes in attractions have long sleeve or would i just have to wear a jacket the whole time.

Any role you can wear a long sleeved shirt underneath. But if you don't have one yet, just wait until after your program.

I've seen many that use slightly larger rings, or fat watch (there's a really fat pirates watch that's popular) to help conceal the tattoo.

I've also seen cast members with tattooes on their arms that use the make up. But there's a great big circle where it covers up, and the rest of the arm is tan from working outdoors.

And if you get entertainment, then you don't have to worry about it much. But be sure to cover anything up for interviews, traditions, or where you have to wear dress clothes.

Bear in mind that a tattoo on a wrist or hand CANNOT be covered in any way, makeup or otherwise, when working around food, so that rules out QSR, FSFB, and many merchandise locations. I know the merch part sounds strange, but in Chester and Hester's, for instance, they sell fudge and cupcakes, so no jewelry of any kind, tattoos, nail polish, etc are allowed in those kinds of locations.

Makeup concealing tattoos on arms and wrists in areas that aren't covered by a short sleeved shirt may result in you being placed in a backstage role. Many managers won't deal with CM's that say they'll just cover up their tattoo with make up. They know that a CM may forget one day to apply it, or it could rub off, revealing the tattoo and breaking the Disney Look. Good Luck if you have a tatt and are looking for an on stage role.
