Does anyone have either a Toyota RAV4 or a Ford Edge? If so, tell me what you think.

My son-in-law has a Ford Edge, and he loves it; he did massive research before he bought it, because it was his first new car since college (he kept taking my daughter's car and letting her have a new one). His choice came down to the Edge or the Honda Crosstour. My granddaughter ended up with a Crosstour, not even remembering that was what her dad had looked at.

I had a 2000 rav4 that my parents got me for my 16th birthday it was a great car it got me through the last two years of high school and all four years of college. I gave it to my younger sister once I had kids because car seats are very hard to get in and out since the back seat is on the small side. it's 15 years old and my sister still has it and it looks brand new.

We looked at the Escape...
Also ended up with one for a week as a rental car.
Not impressed.

I really, really liked the Toyota Highlander.
But, we don't like the current re-design of the back and the rear lights.
Would have considered one anyhow, but at that time, they didn't have the color or specific model anywhere in our area!

Just in general, I would probably much prefer a Toyota over the Ford Escape.

We have two, a 2009 Sport and a 2011 Limited and we love, love, love them. I would buy another in a heartbeat!

The Highlander is a completely different class of car than the Escape. It's more comparable to the previously mentioned Acadia or the Ford Explorer. Much larger than an Escape, and $10-20,000 more expensive.
