We're taking our first cruise in Feb.2006 and was wondering if anyone ahd any good suggestions on what to do or see in Cozumel? We are kind of interested in seeing the ruins...are they worth seeing? Also would like to know what bars or restraunts are must? Thankx!!

We are right now really considering Tulum. A lady I work with has been there (not with DCL) and says they are very interesting and that my boys would really enjoy them. I feel they should have one educational thing on their vacation and will be able to go back to school and tell their friends they have seen real ruins.

It will be a full, long day but one we are really interested in doing.

the shopping is excellent....especially for Mexican talavera-type decorative items.....although expensive, the intricate wooden carved Aztec calendars are worth shopping for

We had wonderful meals at both Mr. Sancho's beach area and Carlos and Charlies right across from dock.

We had wonderful mojitos in the cuban restaurant, it is in the Forum shops, second floor, above diamonds international.

I am not into the shopping thing, so i cant comment on that. I have been on the jeep safari tour and the fury catamaran excursions. Both were excellent!
There is always the two bars near the port that seem to always be crowded and playing music. Most seem to have a bit of fun in there.
