Does anyone have a photo of the sofa sleeper at OKW or SSR. I understand that these are the new style and are more comfortable than the awful ones at VWL. I told my SIL that hopefully it was going to be more comfortable for her than last time. I know that a few folks have explained the differences, but I'm such a visual person that I need a photo! Anybody got a pic?

Just wait until my SIL sees that!!!:rotfl: She'll be even more excited about our trip!!;)

No picture, but our guests thought it was just as good as a regular bed and mattress. It is a solid mattress with no bars etc. to lay on. It would be a bit like a matress on a board instead of a box spring. Our guests thought it was great!

Thanks so much Katie. You were the one I had in mind that might have the photos. I thought I had seen them before, but now that it is relevant to my trip, I couldn't remember what it looked like. Thanks for the tip about the egg crate, I'll keep it in mind.

Diane, thanks for comfort comments. I hope SIL will be comfortable on it. When we stayed at VWL, she had already slept on it 3 or 4 days. I sat down on it, and told her I was so sorry it was so uncomfortable. I didn't realize how bad it was until our trip was half over. She said she had learned where the bars were and was trying to stay away from them!:o Poor thing! At least she was sleeping in it by herself, and could kind of lay diagonal on it. When we had a BCV stay last May, my DD's started complaining about how uncomfortable the pullout was there. They are only 8 and 4 so I figured it had to be bad. I laid on it, and figured out that the matress was upside down, so the springs were sticking right through. I had to unmake the bed , flip the mattress over, and remake the bed. I'm just glad that I had read about this happening to someone else on this board, or I wouldn't have ever thought about, and my poor kids would have been complaining all week.

Hi,

Just back from OKW and the 1st night I slept in the King and it was too firm for my back and the next morning I was sore. Tried the pull out and "WOW" very comfortable and woke up feeling great. So glad they got rid of the bar style it soooooo bothered my lower back.

Are the sofabeds at BWV the same? My twin daughters will be sleeping in one for our upcoming trip.

I don't know if they switched the BW ones, but I thought I read that the eventual plan was to switch them all to the new stryle.
My niece and DD slept on the new style sofa bed in March and thought it wa very comfortable.

The new sofa beds @ OKW are very nice. The kids were arguing who was going to sleep on it! I had to lay on it myself and it was nice.

I think it is more comfortable for sleeping on than sitting on! As a couch the new design is very stiff and straight up and down.

Just FYI, all of the units at OKW do NOT have the new style sofa yet. We returned yesterday from our stay in bldg. 33. We had a l bedroom and a 2 bedroom unit and neither had the new style sofa. The old sofa beds were somewhat broken down and very uncomfortable.

We spent last week in a 2 BR unit at OKW (6222) and this unit did have the new sofa-sleeper. I ended up sleeping on it several times (because I'm a "noisy" sleeper) and found it to be quite comfortable! Although most days we're so pooped out after hitting the parks and other attractions all day, I think I could sleep almost anywhere! What we found to be funny was the height of the bed in the master bedroom. Because the mattress and springs are so thick and my husband and I are both relatively short, we felt like we had to jump up to get on top of the bed! The crazy things we remember about vacations!!
