Does anyone from Cali go to DL and pay full price?

I am just wondering if there a lot of people from Southern California who go to Disneyland, and pay the full gate price or does everyone buy yearly passes.
Would a lot of people only go on a holiday and in that case, just pay for the occasional day.
I am curious about the makeup of the crowds on minor holidays. If passes are blocked ,why is the park so packed?
I have only been to DL once, in Feb and of course it was wonderful.:cloud9:
Just curious....:rolleyes1
I would do a poll, but I have no idea how.
And to all you lucky, lucky people who live in SoCal.....can I move in:laughing:

Block out dates are based on expected crowds from vacationers. When they are expecting more people from out to town, they block passes.

I live 45 minutes or 1 hour away and out of everyone else I know, only one also has a pass.

However, DL almost always has specials for SoCal residents, so they don't end up paying full price for a ticket.

Holidays, even minor ones (Labor Day, Memorial Day, Veterns Day) are busy because people are off work/kids out of school and many are three day weekends. I know we are going over Veterns Days weekend because my neice will miss the least amout of school (1 - 2 days vs 3 - 4 days).

Yeah, I guess it makes sense that they would offer reduced admission prices periodically like the special hotel rates they have for people who live out of the region.

My AP cost more than 6 full-price season passes for Knotts. Nevermind the insane cost of living in SoCal. We don't get discounts. :)

They reduce the number of AP holders because they are already anticipating lots and lots of non AP holders. Trying to hold the numbers of guests down.

Well, you have access to two APs that anyone outside of socal does not...not even those in northern CA get those two APs...

OP, my brother and sis in law get full price one day one park tickets whenever a guest of theirs wants to go to DLR. It kills me, because the difference between that and the lowest socal AP is so minimal...they always say that if we have a second trip PLANNED they'd buy it, but it's hard to absolutely plan a second trip involving San Diego AND Anaheim...

We live an hour from DL and we have never paid full price.
For the summer of 2009 and 2010, they had SoCal discounts. Other than that, we have gotten ticktes from my trainer at our gym whos brother works for ABC. She always gives us extra tickets that they get.
