Does anyone else think the media needs to move on from the Seaworld story?

Just curious...have you seen the pics of her? Her hair is very short when pulled back, it would take a LOT of convincing for me to believe her hair got caught in his teeth. My common sense tells me that unless she was doing a backbend with her head 4 inches from his mouth, it would be awfully hard to get her hair caught between his teeth. That sounds like a bit of a stretch don't ya think?

The one video I saw on CNN showed her with a very long ponytail, way down her back. CNN said it was shot just minutes before it happened.

As long as possible? It was less than 24 hours ago. If the story is still headlines next week then maybe it has been drug out too long. But being less than 24 hours...no.

Typically, the media does continue with a story as long as they can to get the ratings, etc. They will stretch this one out as long as possible for the same reason.

I believe they do have a policy. Distracting the animal seems to be part of the protocol. JUMPING in after her would have been a bad idea. Also, can't shoot into the water with a gun. What else could they do?

Yup. Me neither.


SeaWorld (all of them) have suspended the Killer Whale shows while they review and revise their safety protocol. Also, saw a video of the trainer with Tilly, just moments before the incident and her pony tail was super long. If her pony tail brushed his face/mouth, he may have assumed it was food since she was feeding him at the time, or possibly a toy.

Still so tragic.
