Does anyone else have an easier time planning WDW vacations than other vacations

I have no idea why this is the case, but when I make my vacation plans for WDW I choose the resort, make any PS reservations and then I'm done and make very few changes if any. However, when I try to make vacation plans going else where it never seems to work out. Either I'm not happy with the destination or the resort or something else and tend to make a ton of changes or decide I'm not going to go at all.

Maybe it's because I love going to WDW so much and that makes it so much easier to plan. Another thing that I notice is that I get really excited about an upcomming WDW trip no matter how far into the future it is, but when I make other vacation plans that excitement just isn't there.

Nope, Since I'm the Disney Freak, I'm in charge of all plans when we go to Disney World. DH is in charge of plans when we go anywhere else. Although, like many here, to me the planning is fun. I think the longer you do this, the more fun it gets, because you don't worry so much about what to do when, how to get places, etc. The choices are more like finding out new neat things to do, neat secret stuff to find, which restaurants to check out from your list etc.

The other thing I found about having done this for quite a while, is that when you're there, you know kind of "off the top of your head", how to adjust quickly, at least most of the time. When things are going wrong, or you're stuck in heat, long lines, etc., you kind of know enough to say, "Ok, this isn't working and it's not worth all of this, let's go do something else more fun, and you pretty much know the list of options and how to go about doing them".

I love planning our trips to WDW. The only trouble I have is that there is so much to choose from! I also love planning fo WDW so much that I tend to kind of draw it out! I get so excited just knowing that we will be going

I think its because when we are down there we are mentally planning our next trip. By the time comes to make the actual reservations, we know exactly what we want to do!

When DD16 was younger, we kept trying to plan vacations to other places, like Williamsburg.........they never got very far along in the planning stages....and she would just say, "Can we just go to WDW instead?" and our plans always fell into place!

We have yet to take a "vacation" elsewhere! We've taken trips for shopping, trips to check out colleges, trips to visit family..........but we only VACATION at WDW!!!!!!!!!!!
