Does anyone else feel this way?

The new search feature I DO NOT like. I used to seach my name and find all my posts to get the answers that I needed now I am either computer stupid or it doesn't work. I DO NOT LIKE IT, try it every day just to see if I can get used to it or if I get results but NO NO NO. I am going back to Disney but this sight doesn't seem to help me anymore, not the people that post just this sight in general.

Yes, I miss the old format, especially the "new posts" option. I loved the old way--when you clicked on the new posts and they came up with all the info that is now present when you click the individual boards. The change to the "new posts" really is a bummer.

And, also, the new search often turns up no results when I know they are out there!

I still love the DIS, but just not as much as I used to! I keep thinking that there are just many bugs that need to be worked out---at least I hope that is the case. Or maybe, I'm doing something wrong...

I don't like the new search function either. Now I rarely use it.

Use google instead, terminating your search with site:disboards.com to restrict the results to these forums.

They changed the software right after Christmas. there are many things about it I don't like.

It used to show a post immediately under "new posts" - people could interact and answer very quickly - as if they were chatting. Now you have to wait over 15 minutes before your reply/post is even up - (under New Posts, anyway)

Also, when I'm in a thread, the "Search in this thread" feature doesn't always work - Even though you want to search within that thread, only - it will search the entire board....if at all.

There are other things about it I don't like as well.

DITTO, I wish I could tell you how to use it but I don't know how. I won't let this take me away from DISNEY but I don't get excited about logging on here anymore, I am glad I'm not alon on this one.

I would think they're not paying much for it at all. BoardTracker is a search engine that provides the ability to search many bulletin boards. By having DIS participate, they can offer searches that include results on the DIS boards as part of the results in their basic search engine (which is advertising supported). Providing the board members a focused search for the DIS members on the DIS site itself is probably a good part of the "payment" the DIS can expect from BoardTracker for the ability to use DIS data in BoardTracker's search engine.

This bite big time. I have to go through all the pages to get to my posts to see the replies. Is there any way I can do it, I even search my name and it tells me there is nothing?
