Christmas? My radio station is playing nothing but Christmas songs. I love them, but I'm NOT ready for them yet!! It is less than 2 weeks until Christmas, but it doesn't seem it. Christmas is usually such a tough time as it is. And I guess I'm not ready to face it. Push me ahead to February after all the holidays are done...PLEASE! At least I'll be going away...a HUGE plus!

but I love the christmas music LOL. We never had a station until this year play nothing but christmas music this early. Now we have 2. I guess I'm as ready as I'm gonna be for christmas. Butr as soon as the holidays are over - I'd love to skip Jan / Feb!!!

I was ready for them to stop playing Christmas songs by December 1st. I usually get in the mood to sing/play Christmas songs in June or July. Christmas is coming much too quickly this year.

Tony -- I'd be willing to skip February, too, but that's the month of my birthday! ;)

Shannon -- You surprised me! I think of you as the biggest fan of Christmas on this board. You wouldn't get tired of Christmas songs! I know what you mean. I used to listen to them in the summer.

I wish Christmas was this week because I cannot wait to give DH and DD thier presents. I LOVE :lovestruc giving gifts. :) And I play Christmas music all the time.

I'm enjoying the season, but it feels like it should still be early Oct at the latest to me.

Having a birthday so close to Christmas, I tend to get Christmas songs hummed to me throughout the year when people hear when my bday is, Sandy.

Okay...who put the Christmas music in here???? NO, it's not beginning to look a lot like Christmas...I'm in FL!! LOL! No snow, no cold, no Christmas trees...only palm trees with lights!

Sounds good Jenn Lynn. I'm looking forward to giving a friend a couple gifts myself. ;)

I'm with you, Rajah! It was just Halloween!!

When is your birthday again, Shannon?

Edit: Ahhh! December 26! Were you ripped off birthday presents as a kid?

There's Christmas music on this thread?;) I believe one of Santa's elves put the song here.;)

I didn't feel ripped off presents-wise. I've only had one birthday party though (that'll be the last birthday party I'll ever have too;)). My mom feels guilty about having me so close to Christmas.

Do you feel cheated having your birthday the day after Valentine's day (that's also my brother's bday, he says he felt more cheated out of a birthday than I did;)).

Yes, I thought it was that little elf named Shannon! ;)

Glad you didn't feel ripped off! But just one party? :earseek: And you're even glad about it! As a kid I never felt ripped off with my birthday being February 15. My parents were great at keeping the two days separate. However, when I was married, DH tried to cheat me! LOL!

Yep.;) The elf debated about changing the song.;)

Let's just say the party was not well planned.;) And it was a surprise party of sorts.

I hope he didn't suggest getting married on Valentine's Day too.:p

My mom never could birth her babies on holidays.;) Even my other brother was born 2 days after Easter of that year.;)

Jingle Bell Rock...now that I can do in FL! :)

Surprise party! Hmmm...not sure I'd like that either.

LOL! No, he didn't mention Valentine's Day when getting married. As a matter of fact, I got to pick the day, and he didn't argue at all. I used to laugh all the time about his first marriage because they got married on April Fool's Day. LOLOLOLOL! :hyper: :earseek: He said they wanted April 3 but couldn't get the church. I can't imagine anyone getting married on April 1!!

Our family also seemed to just miss the holidays.

Yes & no. I love Christmas & I love going to the shops & hearing the Christmas music, it really lifts me. Makes shopping far more enjoyable too;)

The only thing I wish for is a cooler day than today for Christmas Day:(

I'm not decorating the house this year since we'll be away, :teeth: so I probably won't feel like it until we're on vacation.
