OMGOSH...........I have. I can't make my mind up to save my life. I know that we are staying somewhere other than Shades of Green ....for our last 3 nights in Nov. WE have SOG for 6 nights and then we want to switch. We have to get two rooms at either a value or moderate...but I was thinking that maybe Swan/Dolphin might be a good choice for the location. It looks like it isn't far to walk to the back entrance to Epcot. We will more than likely spend time at EC and MGM those last days at night......because we are going to more or less TAKE OUR TIME AND TAKE IN THE SPIRIT OF THE HOLIDAY.....and do our hard core park riding/shows the first days we are at WDW. We have also NEVER BEEN TO THE BOARDWALK AREA..which would also be something to do in the NON park kind of way. SOOOOOOOO IF YOU GUYS CAN HELP ME OUT HERE....PLEASE SEND SOME ADVICE OUR WAY. I like staying at SOG for the location of MK and monorail ....we walk over to Poly..but we also want to stay somewhere else too. The prices at SOG is sooo hard to beat...106 a night sleeps 5 NO TAX...but we want to splurge and enjoy another hotel for 3 days. OH and we have thought about POFQ too as the other place to spend our last days....with the location of DTD....another NON PARK ACTIVITY. OH AND OUR DATES FOR THE LAST THREE DAYS ARE Nov. 23rd check out 26th. SO those three days include Thanksgiving.

THANKS A BUNCH FOR GIVING US YOUR 2 cents worth.

:goodvibes I change my mind all the time when it comes to planning a vacations... I think you should try a moderate... possible PO...

I loved the Wilderness Lodge.. but its closer to Magic Kingdom...

I change my mind all of the time also. We are leaving in 12 days staying for 10 nights at the Beach Club villas. We wanted to stay the first 3 nights at a Magic Kingdom Resort. I made reservations first for the Contemporary Tower, than changed it to the Polynesian and then finally changed it last week to the Floridian. The Grand Floridian is my favorite but my husbands least favorite, so when making reservations, I never even mentioned the Grand Floridian to him. Last week he brought it up and said I could change to the Floridian if I would like. YEAH!!!

Anyway, I think the Swan or Dolphin would be a great choice (preferably Dolphin). You are right on the Boardwalk and it is a beautiful hotel with a great pool. You should be able to get a good discount. Check allearsnet.com. Last December we could have gotten the Swan for $99 through this website (I know a rate this low is rare though). I think it was the Dolphin (not Swan) that had the most amazing Christmas Tree out of all the resorts in their lobby.

I am confused as to which to stay at? How far is the Swan from BW area? Also which one is closet to the back entrance to EC? I would like to stay at one of these for the closeness to MGM and EC. Thanks

YUP!!! Changed my mind several times for our May trip!!! First it was CSR, not available for the dates we wanted (AP rate), OK POR. But we never tried CBR, so we decided on a split stay between POR and CBR!! WDW is VERY understanding when it comes to this indecisiveness!!! (hope I spelled that correctly!!?? :rolleyes1)

I found that all those hotels were in pretty close proximity to each other.

We stayed at the YC and it was only about a 5-10 minute walk to Epcot. The Dolphin is next to the YC so it would be only slightly longer to walk from there.

The Swan is practically adjacent to the Boardwalk. You pretty much just have to cross a bridge to get from one to the other.

We found that the boat service around this area was excellent. We never waited more than 5 minutes or so. We only rode the boat to the Studios. We always walked to Epcot or the Boardwalk.

We loved this area. I cannot say enough good things about it. I think it is a nice area if you are planning on doing Non Park Activities. You could spend lots of time just roaming around the different hotels in the area.

Hope you have a great time!!!

I think I have changed my mind about 2 Zillion times! I, too am doing the parks and then hanging out for a few days, actually almost the same days as you Nov 23-27! We decided on AKL. I think I am done changing my mind!

I used to change my mind all the time - I drove everyone crazy. However, we stayed at the Boardwalk Inn in February and now I don't have to think about it anymore - we LOVED it! We are going again in January and staying at the BWI - no brainer.

I have changed my mind ALOT! But, every time I talk to DH and he keeps me grounded. My main reason for :confused3 indecisiveness is the money. We are staying at WL and I know I will love it but I feel guilty knowing I'm spensing $65 more a night over the price of a moderate. :bitelip: We're only going down for 4 nights. If we were staying longer I would have chose a moderate. Have a great trip wherever you choose!

Before I fell in love with the Swan and Dolphin resorts, I used to go back and forth with my resort decision all the time!

Now I make my reservations and don't give it another thought because I know I made the right choice!

Oh, and in regards as to which is closer to the Boardwalk, you are only talking a few more steps. At the Dolphin you'll walk across the courtyard towards the Swan to enter the Boardwalk area. It's a nice little stroll, one I don't mind taking even when my feet are tired!

Yes. I've changed my mind (and ressies) a few times for our December trip. I started out with the CR, then the WL, then CBR, and now we are at POP. As you can tell, when I started planning this trip, I was banking on getting a room code. Well, it looks like room codes are a thing of the past.

Who knows, maybe one day I'll get a PIN code for a date that I'm actually going.

Mary

We're going next summer and first I booked us at POR, then switched to AKL savannah view, then switched to WL (never stayed there) now I'm seriously thinking of switching to CBR.
I really like having a food court with two kids and I like the quiet pools. I'm really nervous that I'll pay the extra money for WL and be unhappy with Roaring Forks and only having the one pool. In the summer I want to be able to find a chair at the pool.
DH just asked me today if Disney keeps track of how many times I change my ressie. He thinks I'm crazy. ;)

I DO!! I went from All Star Movies to Pop Century to Coronado Springs to Port Orleans Riverside to Pop Century to Wilderness Lodge to finally, Port Orleans French Quarter...my husband said if I change one more time, we are not going...LOL! I am sooo indecisive. I choose POFQ because it has what I was looking for: good transportation, a boat to DTD, beautiful rooms w/a privacy curtain (I like to get up early, this will let me get ready while DH sleeps), small BUT beautiful grounds, and a really nice looking pool (hopefully, it will be warm enough to swim).

What I should have done to begin with is write down all the resorts I want to stay at and then make a list of why I want to stay there. Then whichever one has the most is the resort I will pick...maybe that will help you decide! Good luck and have fun planning!!

I am constantly changing my mind! Too many great choices!

I never knew you could walk to the Poly from SOG! How much of a walk is it? I've always wanted to go check out SOG!

I have to say that you all make me feel very normal.. I have changed my mind so many time my DH has told me just to cancel the trip..

I started off taking a cruise, land and sea.. changed that to 7 day.. changed that to WDW vacation... we are currently booked at the carribean beach... and am thinking changing to Coronoda Springs.. or possibly AKL...

I too am looking for a discount.. either having the free dinning extended to Oct/Nov... something that will allow me to upgrade...

I have stayed previously at PO and WL.. was very pleased with both... not sure if I should worry about a pool this trip because it is end of Oct and not sure we will be even swimming... :teeth:

I think we will be going to WDW.. where we will stay etc.. will be decided I am sure before we get there!! :rotfl:

Its so very nice to know that so many people are as indecisive as I am!!
