Does anyone else buy pins with no intention of trading?

I buy Pins so I can keep them I put a lot of my pins on my bookbag I also wear some of my pins to work Now during my birthday vacation I did buy pins so I could trade them. They were a starter kit pins and they were very low in price, like around $5 for each pin and I purchased them so I could trade with cast members The pins that I got from the cast members are like around $7, so this is a good way for little me to save money

I went to Disney World for the first time in about 12 years just last October. I bought about 12 pins when I was there with no intention of trading them.

We are planning another trip this coming October. I will probably buy more pins and I will not trade them. I am a collector, not a trader.

I have traded a grand total of one pin in my 5 years of collecting.
I'm a pin hoarder,not a pin trader!lol

I love my pins.....I have over 400 now and just can't trade, not even one. I buy them bring them home and put them in my books.

We started out as pin keepers - didn't really know much about trading - buying pins that had a significant meaning- special event, holiday etc. Then we realized that DD could trade with CMs and thought it would be fun. I found some pins on ebay for her to start with, and we traded for CM lanyard pins mostly that she liked - now in the past few months she has started trading for only Chip & Dale pins - we are now about out of traders! She has 32 Chip & Dale pins, and we have a total of 156 pins - nothing in comparison to some, but it was not a real hobby until this past summer.

Every pin I buy I can't imagine trading. Am I the only one?
Also, I have another question...Do the Disney resorts have pins?

Yes -the resorts have pins.
