Does anyone always buy new shoes for Disney

I always buy at least one new pair of sneakers before my trips. I get them a few weeks before and I wear them just enough to break them in, so I do not get blisters. But this way I have good support for all that walking.
LOL and I always buy new socks too, I like the ones with a bit of padding, comfort is the key to not getting sore feet in WDW.

Since I go about once a month, no, but I bought a nice pair of Dr Scholls at Walmart when we went in Nov, and they have got to be the cheapest (24.00) and the absolutely most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I take them everytime now.

I'm so glad to see I'm not the only one who buys new shoes for their trip! I'm very hard on my shoes, so I get a new pair for each trip to Disney. I bought mine two weeks ago, and am wearing them every chance I get before our trip in two weeks! I wear orthotics, so finding a comfy pair of shoes that my orthos will fit in can be a challenge (Reebok is my new favorite!).:wave2:

You should never need to "break in" shoes. If they are not comfortable when you first try them on then you should look for another pair!!! I stick with a few brands that I know do well for my feet. Reebock,New Balance,Easy Spirit. I know from years of selling shoes and being around owners of shoe companies that if it hurts when you first put it on it is the wrong shoe for you. Good shoe salespeople will tell you this also. If they tell you to "break them in" then they are just trying to make the sale.

I usually buy new shoes for those trips but since we go so often now I usually have a vacation only pair. I still will buy new a couple times a year though.

for my trip this week I am bringing almost all new clothes. New Sketchers, 5 t-shirts, undies, socks, swimsuit, robe, and even a new pair of Mickey pj pants. I think the only old stuff I am bringing are my shorts, slippers, and ,ore pj's. I even bought a new scent of body wash and lotion.
I bought the shoes about a month ago and have been wearing them every day, they are perfect. Oh, I did also buy a new pair of sandals, but those will be more for DD and other non-park things.

Both my husband and I got new shoes for our trip to the USA and WDW. we knew we would be doing a lot of walking so bought special walking shoes made for walking.

We wore them on our get fit walks before we went to get used to walking long distances. They were the most comfy shoes out.

No, I like to bring a pair that is already worn in. :)

Always, and I agree that a good pair of shoes doesn't have to be broke in. They should feel good from the moment you put them on. I learned that the hard way, now I only by the ones that feel like slippers when I first put them on.

I too, bought new clothes for the kids to go on the trip and I am sure I will have a new outfit or two by then. ;)

For me, the "breaking in" has to do with getting used to a slightly different heal height - not the shoe itself. It's only an issue when there's lots of walking involved before I've adjusted to them.

I don't think anyone is suggesting to get uncomfortable shoes and get used to them!

My son and I are getting our new sneakers today.:bounce:

We won't wear the new ones until the trip; never have a problem with needing to break them in. If for some strange reason we find them uncomfortable when we get there, we'll have the old ones to change into.

Yes we buy new seakers for Disney. For the past two years we have been wearing Addidas, one of their running shoes. This year, we have decided to wear the classic style Reebok's , the all white ones. I'm not too crazy about them, but I know at least they will be comfortable and that's the most important part.
