Does anybody's family realize how much planning goes into the trip?

hahaha this is funny to me cause i wonder the same things. my family chuckles at me when i drag out the disney stuff cause they know a trip is soon to come and i think it helps get them in the disney mood. i notice the more i do and talk about it the more they get into it. they also call me crazy and obsessed but i think they really love it. you should check out passporter.com and your next trip to barns and noble look up the passporter book. its WONDERFUL

I am embarrassed to let my friends and family know just how much time I put into our upcoming trip. I always subtract an hour or so when they ask how long I've been looking at the boards that day. My DH told me as long as I don't come to bed with Mickey Ears on he's ok with (I just sneak them back on when he turns out the light):)

My family thinks I am officially crazy with the "disboard thing". I check it every day and live vicariously through other trip reports:lmao:. Our trip is not until December, and I already have my plans laid out. I tell them that there are many hobbies that are worse then mine! They should be thankful mine is so beneficial to THEM. DH Says I need to form a Disboards Anonymous chapter in my town. I told him that is not really a bad idea. I could get some good ideas that way. :surfweb:

Hello embassed!! My name is ToddyLu, can I join you at the podium for my one year Dis pin! Disney is my crack!! :rotfl2:

Ok, so we have used the excel spreadsheet the last 4 years. Everyone who travels with us just has come to love and expect it. DH might say....can't we just walk up to a place to eat?:scared1:...but he is the first one to take his seat at the ADR. He has gotten into the habit of trying to interrupt me when I am Dissing! Thank goodness we do not have children or they would go hungry and not have clean clothes for school. Poor man, he is so lucky I share my points with him.....talk about OCD...just throw our new membership to DVC in there.

However I think I have finally reached the zenith of my addiction. I spent all day yesterday (and I mean all day) looking up music at the parks on itunes. Yes, yes I have the typical CDs...but when I lay down at night I want to tour the parks with music....yes, each country in Epcot with their prospective type music, including farm animal sounds for places like the Land and whale sounds for Living Seas...then exiting the park we have New Age music... and then the Monorail speil....all for my listening pleasure.....over and over and over

Of course this is just between us here on this thread and my DH......

Unfortunately that only leads to a thread called "Is anyone from MS on the DIS tonight?", then multiple posts later, you are the one organizing the first DIS Meet on the Gulf Coast, then a year later you are finally meeting those fellow Dissers at your house for the every other monthly meeting. :sad2: DIS Meets are actually DISboards Anonymous and I ,my friend, am a proud sponsor of the local one here. We created it in Sept of 2008 and we are still going strong....and I thought I had it bad.....wow my Dis Meet friends are just as addicted and totally AWESOME!!!:woohoo:

Sept 2007...Thank God for my neighbor who helped me with our 1st trip. :worship: I did not even know you had too book ADR's during Free Dining! She told me about a few websites that also helped a lot. DH thought I was nuts but was happy when he had a place to eat each night.

I am now planning our second trip and my DB, DIL and 2 DN's are meeting us there. This is there 1s trip in 10 years. They are totaly laid back and have let me plan everything. I really want to show them a good time.

I found Disboards on my own and have learned even more great tips for this year. At first DH thought..what more could you learn...we were just there 2 years ago??? Now, he realizes there is more to learn and that I enjoy planning and thinking about our trip.:lovestruc

Now when I am on the Disboards... he says I am going to my happy place:flower3:

The first time we went was in 2005--I was 35 at the time. I am now hooked! A co-worker recommended making a list of things everyone wants to see and then highlight the "must-do's". Now each time I make a list of new things and some old that we want to see. I love to share my finds with my Disney seasoned co-workers and surprise them with something they never heard of. I will be going on my 4th trip in December.

I love the planning--it is truly an escape with everything going on right now. In June we got matching t-shirts with all the Dis characters that said "The Great Disney Escape 2009". I love to help other people with their trips too. I get so excited you would think I was going.

I am addicted to these Disborards!:worship:

My family knows how much time I put into planning,:surfweb: not only Disney trips but all vacation or even a day at the Beach.
I like to be able to sit back and enjoy the moments too. I love to see my family and friends having a really great time. Is it worth it. PRICELESS:cheer2:

I really don't think they realize what goes into the planning. Each trip we try to stay somewhere new, eat somewhere new, ect. But them they each want to go to the their favorite place to eat, see their favorite show, ride parade, fireworks ect.. So when we go and everything falls into place they are like how do you do that. :pixiedust:pixiedust:

Yes my friends think I'm crazy, But they call and ask questions or talk me into planning for them ... I just can't help myself:rotfl2:

I love DIS.. Thanks for all the great tips, trip reports, Pic's, reviews and news on what going on in the world.

We are under the 60 mark for our girls only trip for Food and Wine.
So back to planning for me.:thumbsup2

Everyone in my family and in my husband's family, and also the majority of my friends think I'm a big bag of crazy when it comes to Disney. But then again, those are the people who stand in line for 90 minutes for RnRC, and say, OMG, did you know there's a restaurant in Disneyland () where you can eat with Winnie the Pooh? We couldn't get a table though... And they say that it's just too expensive to stay on Disney property, though they got a great deal at the Stink-O Hotel for $135 a night. They also asked me if they should have just paid for those fast pass thingies so they didn't have to wait in lines. :headache::headache::headache:

So, I say, let them say I'm crazy, I will be the one who gets to all four parks and two waterparks in five days, never stand in line for more than 20 minutes, not rushed, and well fed and transported for free. Oh yes, I'm so crazy.

Keep on being "a big bag of crazy" - I like your style!!! :cool1:
