They were at the Calgary Stampede today

If a guest is given a white hat in Calgary it's the highest form of recognition similar to being given the key to the city. Only those of highest regard are presented the hat.

And for those American readers who are still scratching their heads, the Calgary Stampede is an annual rodeo competition and festival held each summer in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

The Canadian province of Alberta has many cultural similarities with the U.S. state of Texas in particular, and the American midwest in general.

I don't know about the rest of you, but the first thing I saw in that photo was the Duke of Cambridge .

So far I am very impressed with the Princess. Her clothes this trip have been in top form. I have been looking at them on line every couple of nights to see what she picks. I thought the dress she wore when they planted the tree in Diana's memory was perfect. The Mickey's score extra points with me. Thanks so much for posting the picture.

They do kind of look like Mickey's, but on closer inspection they are diamond shaped.
