Does AA basic economy at least offer trip credit if you have to change departure?

I'm looking at the AA basic economy (BE) - if something arises and I have to change my departure time/date, can I at least get a trip credit like SW does? (I'm not looking for a refund, just the ability to use the value on a future AA flight within the term of a year or whatever it is)

Yes, subject to a fee of $99. Obviously no credit if your ticket is less then the fee

ONLY if you are an AAdvantage Member- so make sure to sign up before buying that ticket if you’re doing this. Otherwise you can’t even buy your way out of cancelling a BE ticket.
