Last night we ate at Friendly's and someone walked by our table and had on Polo by Ralph Lauren. Totally took me back to my High School Sweetheart.

This won't be as great as yours - however, that good old mothball smell will always remind me of my 90 yr old grandma.

I have long since stopped taking my DD, 9 to see her great-grandmother. DD finally asked me why - and I told her. DD asked me if it was a medical fact that mothballs were a health hazard, or was it my opinion that they were a health hazard. We did an internet search - and yes, they are a health hazard.

We recently moved my grandma into an assisted living apartment. I personally threw out 6 or 7 boxes of mothballs. Eeewww.

<font color=navy>Chanel #5 will always remind me of Mom (who passed away in 1995, bless her soul). I have a tiny little perfume bottle @ work that I open now & then just to smell. Takes me right to her. :)

My dad passed away 10 years ago. Whenever I smell that Menan (sp?) aftershave, the green stuff...been around forever....

Anyway, it always takes me back to sitting on the arm of the recliner while he read to me, that being said, National Geographic has the same effect! He loved those magazines.

Borkum Riff tobacco always reminds me of my Dad though he's been dead ten years now.

Heaven Scent...it reminds me of my very first sweetheart. 10th grade :) I wore Heaven Scent and he loved it.

LOL, when I read the subject line for this thread, that is exactly what I thought. 14 years old and my first make out session and my BF wore Polo. Can't smell it without bringing back the memories.

My first 'intimate encounter' was with the smell of Drakar. Can't smell that without remembering.

And obsession for men was worn by a very close male friend of mine. His car always reeked of it.

So, DH is limited in his cologne selection. It is weird how smells bring memories slamming back like that.

Aqua Velva reminds me of my dad. "There's something about an Aqua Velva man." :)

And Yankee Candle Pina Colada will always remind of a dear lost friend. :)

Funny this should be posted now..I just got a magazine the other day and in it was an ad for L'air du Temps. It immediately made me think of my mom. She hasn't worn that scent for years, but it reminded me of childhood.

Brut...high school sweetheart and Stetson from someone I dated long ago.

The smell that permeates from a nail salon, particularly nail polish remover, reminds me of an ex-GF and it makes me want to vomit... not the smell, the thought of ex-GF :teeth:

Old Spice reminds of my father who passed away in '96. He left a bottle at my sister's house and she still moves it everytime they buy a new house.
