Does a day at the water park count as a day in your Package of parks.
I buy a 5 day park day with the option added of the water park
If I go one day to the water park does it count as one of my 5 day park ticket.

No - you will have 5 days of park entry (any of the four WDW parks) and 5 entries into the Water parks/mini golf/golf course.

If you're staying at a Disneyworld resort for more than 9 days, you can use your entitlements for the entire length of your stay.

If not (or if you are staying at a Disneyworld hotel for less than 9 days), your 5 day Park Hopper Plus ticket would be good for 9 days total.
