My Dh and I are taking Niece to WDW with us and I need to know how they handle MYW ticket with child since I understand you have to do finger scan now.

i am an AP holder so I know I have to do it but how do they handle kids?

Children don't have to do it. Once they have an adult ticket (age 10), it's required.

ok so she can just slide her ticket like I did when I had UHP. Thank you. I was having nightmares trying to figure out how i was gonna hold her up to scan her fingers, hold backpack and camera all at same time LOL.

It is a biometric reader. After you put your ticket into the slot, you place your right hand into the opening with the index and middle finger on either side of the post inside the reader. Squeeze your fingers together around the small post and your bone measurement will be read. This requires one person to use the ticket for the entire time and will not allow others to use the ticket. This has been in place for Annual Passholders for quite a while.
