Do your parents do ridiculous things?

Wow this is an interesting thread..

I was horrible when I was little. I'd always go through the "hiding spot" for the unwrapped presents and one time I actually unwrapped a present to make sure they got the right thing and then taped it up again. Now they let me pick out my own presents. They tell me to pick out what I want and if it's too expensive for my parent's taste, they'll have my grandparents buy it (thus the reason they're buying my new ipod..).

Also Santa is real. I mean who eats all the cookies and drinks the milk I leave for him every year? And who eats the celery/carrots I leave for his reindeer? My parents?....PUH-LEEZ..

You're never too old to stop believing in Santa...Sometimes the things that may or may not be true are the things you need to believe in the most..

i'm pretty horrible i always get the urge to open presents to see what i get and stick it back down... since i'm going on holiday this year there's no chance to do that this time woohoo! (also i have no presents yet :()

and of course santa is real :) who believes our parents go out to buy all those presents on our wish list? last year i didn't have one and i didn't mention to anyone what i wanted but i still got the things i really wanted :) you know santa's a mind "knows what your thinking right now" reader right?

celery is nasty.
caramel is nasty.
leave the reindeers chocolate. i think everyone can agree on that.

another thing I'd like to say:

I got a Game Boy for Christmas years ago from Santa. Ten seconds later, I get a present from my aunt: what is it? A Barbie video game for it.

You tried it? O_O

I was supposed to be there when you did. :guilty:

wow, this thread cracks me up.

well, my parents are divorced, and when my dad found out that my mom had told me that the tooth-faerie and id caught her with the fake-santa act, he got all mad. it was scary at the time, but now i think its hillarious!

also, i dont know how my brother still believes in santa, since hes seen into the closet where everyones presents are, the ones that are marked as 'from santa' and opens those same presents on x-mas! its kind of sad, but i guess it makes sense, since he's 8.

My parents are absolutely crazy when it regards to Xmas.

1) Santa. They know that we know that Santa is not real. I mean honestly, it's impossible and I've got proof. But they still do the Santa act. Last year, we were packing up all our presents into boxes to bring up to my grandparents (we were having xmas with them because they aren't going to be alive much longer and because we wouldn't be able to visit in may [but my brother & i didn't know that yet]) and I saw one of the presents said From Santa. Obviously, fake.

2) They won't tell me what my brother is getting for Xmas. They insist that his gifts have to be a secret too. I don't really see the point, but they insist on it. So today, I asked what he was getting for Christmas, to just make sure I won't go out and buy the same thing. They were like "Don't worry, you won't. I'm not telling you though."

3) They basically let me pick out half of my Xmas gifts.

Today my dad hinted at a trip in the future, but I don't knoww.. he may have been jerking my chain, which people do too often to me.

The bold one, they do that to me too its ridiculous!!
