Do your chances improve for getting a cash ressie if you book far in advance??

How far in advance can you book a cash ressie with hopefully a DVC discount? Are you still held to the same 11/7 month window? So can you book a cash ressie for a weekend way before you can actually book on points?? Thanks

My understanding is that you can book a cash reservation with the DVC discount starting at 11 months prior to your travel dates (assuming it is available for the resort and type of villa you are looking for).

I called at 7 months for VWL in July and was able to get the cash discount for the Saturday night we arrive (which is better than using points anyway). I was surprised it was available, but I've got the confirmation!

I verified this with MS today when I added another cash ressie. It is 11 months. I think this is awesome!!! Well if we can get cash ressies with DVC discount.
