Do you wear disposable contacts?

Wellllllll --- technically about two weeks! However, I have been known to wear them longer ... MUCH longer. Usually about a month or so. Shhhhhhhhhhhh, please don't tell ... my mom always told me - I should take care of my eyes. We only get this one pair!

I wear mine 3-4 weeks. They are supposed to last a month, but I can start to tell the difference in the 4th week.

I wear disposeable bifocal contacts lens that are suppose to be good for 2 weeks. But, I usually wear them for a month!!

My fiancee' and I wear Acuvue 2 disposable contact lenses. These contacts are designed to be worn 1-2 weeks. My fiancee' gets 10 to 12 days use out of them before they start irritating his eyes.
My contacts just came in today, so I'll start wearing them tomorrow!

My doctor say 2-4 weeks. I use a pair for exactly one month. It's a lot easier for me to remember to start a new pair on the first of the month. They do dry out much faster the last week or so, but they don't bother me too much.

now, do you mean extended wear disposables or regular disposables? if you mean regular, I wear mine for as long as I can stand them, and since this is my last pair and I'm too poor to afford anymore, it's been about 4 months.....I've been told that there's not much of a difference between disposables and regular contacts...don't know if I believe the person who told me, but it's a good excuse, I do take care of these as if they were normal contacts though....hopefully I"m not blinding myself.....

I wear the Night and Day contacts, I love them. I put them in and don't need to change them for 30 days. Sometimes I have to take one out to rinse it off if I get something in my eye but normally I don't even feel them.

I HATE touching my eyes :scared: so only having to do so once a month is great.

I too usually wear mine for about a month. I know I'm not supposed to but it just seems frivoulous(sp?) to throw them out after two weeks.

Mine are good 1-2 weeks, but I usually wear them a little longer than 2. Its around that time they start feeling dried out.

I wear the Acuvue disposible bifocals too. They say to change every 2 weeks, but I usually go about 3. This last pair I changed at 2 weeks, because they were bothering me. The danger with wearing them too long is that they can become toxic.

Mine are to last for 4 weeks, but sometimes I can get another week out of them. When my eyes start drying out and itching, I know it's time to change.

I am supposed to change mine every 2 weeks, but it's usually more like 3 or 4 weeks.

I think mine are supposed to be good for 3-4 weeks. I used to use some Acuvue disposables that were good for a month, but I'd usually wear them until they started bothering me, and sometimes that would even be a full 2-2.5 months.

I'm now on some new kind (is it Night and Day? I'm not sure) and these are supposed to allow more oxygen through the lens and I've noticed from that aspect, I like them much better. They're a little harder around the rims, though, and I notice them more often. I also noticed that they didn't last as long. My first pair only lasted a month.

I have 1 month disposables. I probably wear my contacts about 30-40% of the time and wear glasses about 60-70% of the time. I usually use the lenses for longer than 1 month then because I do not wear them the full 30 days each month.

I tend to have problems wearing my contacts at night or just in the dark in general. Does anyone else notice their contact's efficiency is less in the dark?

Maybe I am just weird? :smooth:

I use Accuvue-which are designed for 14 day wear-I wear them for 14 days but during allergy season, that 14 days may be spread over 2 months. I never go over the 14 days because I used to try wear them longer but gave myself corneal scratches and a horriffic eye infection from wearing pairs that had started to break down (disposable are not the same as regular lenses designed for long term wear and they break down after a while). It is very arid hear so the lenses break down faster and it is more noticiable when they are not comfortable.

I wear Accuvue 2 soft disposable contacts. They say to change them every 2 weeks and that's what I do. My eyes are not something I'll chance. I'd rather pay more money and keep my eyes healthy.

I wear daily contacts so I've never tried to wear a pair more than a day. I wonder how long I could get away with wearing my daily lenses. I dont wear them every day so that's why I went that route.

My oldest DS (23) wears them. He changes them usually once a month.:D

I wear Toric lenses, and after 2 weeks I definetely can tell a difference. I do try to wear them a day or two longer, but usually I can't take the feeling of them being so dry. I don't know if it is because they are toric lenses or if I just have sensitive eyes.
