More to the point, wouldn't the UK flag change by default if Scotland ever ratified a referendum? As I'm sure you know, the UK flag is an amalgamation of the constituent states, the blue and white Scottish Cross, the English red and white cross and so on. If Scotland quits the union, would our flag lose the blue part?
