Do you think you look your actual age? (UPDATE p. 19, post 272)

DSCN0286.jpg

Here's a picture of me from last April. I think I look my age,but won't add it yet. I'm curious to see what others think.
Be kind. ;)

I look younger than I am. I think it is because I don't wear makeup. Until DS#1 was born late-mid twenties, I was carded to make sure I was 18. He aged me. I still get carded for 21 when any of my kids aren't with me.

I even get nasty comments from strangers about how kids just have babies these days and how irresponsible I am and how dissapointed my parents must be. Sorry, but I've been married for quite some time, even before baby #1. And I didn't get married just out of high school (or college),

People tell me all the time that I look younger than I am. I hope it stays that way. LOL

I am 62, I believe I look my age - and most certainly feel 62 - even 72 at times!!! but most people don't take me for more than 50. I have gained weight which does not help, possibly if I was thinner as I used to be I would think I still look 50, I will try to find a picture to post when I get home. When I was 40 I was still asked for ID sometimes. And I agree it is in the genes, my mother, aunt and brother were never ever taken for their true age, they all looked much much younger, my mom was 76 when she passed away and my aunt was 86 and neither of them looked a day over 60 (and a young 60 at that), and my brother was 70 when he passed away and EVERYONE thought he was not over 50. Also, my son is 42 and people take him for being in his late 20's. But I can tell you I am young at heart for sure and Disney keeps me young and happy.

I think I look younger than I am. I'm 26, but still get carded for rated R movies. :confused3 I'm sure when I'm older I'll be glad, but I never realized how bad some people will treat those they think are teens. When I was dress shopping for my wedding, the sales lady thought I was a 'child bride'. :rotfl:

Here's a very dressed-down, everyday pic of me and my dd this past Christmas. Ponytail, glasses, no makeup. You won't hurt my feelings by being honest - do I look 31?

NO! I"d guess 26.

I'm 41, and I got carded the last time I bought alcohol (about 18 months ago). So yes, I think I do look younger.

I do have long blond hair, pale skin and freckles, so that's probably why.

This was this past September waiting for Illuminations, showing off my Snow White purse :cool2: .

NEVER would have guessed it! 35 is more like it...maybe not even.

Traditionally people think I look older than I am. I can only remember two times when someone guessed I was younger than my age.

Here is a picture of me last summer - no make up, hair not fixed, after hiking 2 miles in the rainforest.

Okay, I'm going to go with 34.

I'm 36 and I think that I look my age. You can see a photo of me (along with the family) on KAMommy's sig. I'm the cute one in that photo... :thumbsup2 :hyper: :cutie:

I used to look a lot younger than I was. At 10 I looked 8, at 15 I looked 12, at 20 I looked 16...

This happened to me a lot too. I got lots of looks when I was wedding dress shopping at 24 and even more looks when DD was born when I was 27. I would say to DH, "What the heck are they looking at?" And he would say, "Well, you look about 14!" I guess I could understand why a very pregnant 14 year old would be scandalous, but it was very awkward for me. People at her elementary school don't believe I'm her mother now!

I guess I was right about looking my age. :thumbsup2 The two guesses were very close. I'm 35, 36 in June.

I'm going to be turning 40 in t minus six months. Yeesh. But most folks think I look much, much younger. In fact, I've gotten the aaaahoooogah eye ball popping look from people I've met that are in their early 20's. For some reason, they start talking to me much louder and slower, and start calling me "sir." Go figure.

You can see my pic in my avatar so you can judge.

Edited to add that pic was taken little less than a year and a half ago.

Both DH and I look quite a bit younger. This of course is nice except when you want people to take you seriously in a business setting.

Now do I act my age? ;)

You look a good 10 years younger! Must be that fresh NYC air! :rotfl:

I don't look younger than my age....people would probably guess it within a few years :teeth: . But that's okay. The main thing is that I feel young and I'm very healthy and active.

My mom and sister look SOOO much younger. My sis is always asked for ID....I mean ALWAYS! She looks at least 10 years younger than her age if not more. My mom is the same. Somehow I missed those genes! :confused3 Oh well...the good news is I don't look older, at least I don't THINK I do! ;)
