Do you think you look your actual age? (UPDATE p. 19, post 272)

Kitty, I thought that was you in the pic but I didn't know when it was taken. You look FANTASTIC! I would have thought 20s too!

You? A teaser??? Never!

Yeah, I knew. ;) But at WDW it is mandatory. I'm sure I read that in the fine print somewhere.... :scratchin

I knew you were kidding too.

But is it wrong that I still wear that Minnie sweatshirt about 5 times a week, back in the "real world"? It's basically been my winter coat. I wear it everywhere! My DH hasn't worn his since that picture, I told him I'm going to start wearing his when mine wears out. DD got Tink and DS got Stitch. They love theirs too.

 Oh, you are beyond help girl! :rotfl2:
Go get yourself a sexy leather jacket, some boots, and some non-mom jeans (T&B will help you there) and then post a pic of your new stylin self. :thumbsup2

Ahem, meanwhile I will sit here waiting for that pic, in my sweats and Grumpy sweatshirt. :rolleyes1 :goodvibes

I think I look pretty young for my age. But then, I think my 94 year old Grandma looks pretty good too. I guess it's in the genes, or maybe I just feel young? So, how do I post a photo so you can tell me? oooh, I figured it out....sometimes I amaze myself! That's me below my girls. Whadya think? be honest now...

Oops, looks like you've figured it out already!

I'm going to say 35-40 age range? I hope I'm not too far off! :scared:

I really felt like a grown up last weekend, I bought my first "good" coat. A long black one to wear when I am FORCED to dress up! I will probably have to wear it a whole 3 times a year.

And I do NOT wear mom jeans. That's at least one point in my favor. And I don't wear scrunchies. That's gotta be a point too.

Okay, I finally got pics of me on here!! First time ever. This is history in the making right here folks. All these were taken last year, the most recent was the bottom one in Nov.05. I am 34 and as you can see don't look a day over 43. :teeth:

Not only are you funny as heck but you are very pretty. No more cutting yourself down. It isn't "funny" anymore...you are just too pretty.

I agree.

MommaU4, I think that the name "Beth" must signify that you are beautiful. Of course that is my name too. :rotfl:

:flower3: Awww, that's sweet. Thanks! Now fess up, who paid you to say that?? It's okay you can tell me. Was it my mom? Cause she's sneaky like that.... :scratchin

Shut up. I didn't know you are Beth too?? Or did I? Sorry, old age, losing my mind, that whole thing. If I knew that, somewhere along the line I forgot. That's cool. Being a Beth rocks!!

Except when people mistake you for bath or death. Not as cool then. :teeth: And yes, I've had people misunderstand me and think I said both of those. Makes perfect sense doesn't it? In fact, I think Death was one of the top ten girls names in 1971. :confused3

I'm not even gonna try to guess because I suck at that, BUT I had to say you have the most beautiful hair! It's gorgeous. Reminds me of Nicole Kidman in the early days when it was still that glorious shade of red and full of luxurious curls. Very pretty.

Guess what I have on? My Mickey WDW sweatshirt! And I was out in public! Yes, I was wearing my non-mom jeans, but I wasn't going to freeze in the chilly building. My DH wears his WDW sweatshirts all the time--more than I wear mine for sure. But then again, he wears dad jeans. :teeth:

I'm just starting to realize it will be spring eventually, and I can't hide my fat rolls under my big Minnie sweatshirt anymore! yikes! I gotta start to lose a few. (This as I sit here with a Heineken next to me, yeah, that'll help)

I have often thought about changing my legal name to one of those. :rotfl: I even have had someone think I said my name was Witch, but with a "B". :rotfl2: Of course maybe they just knew me. :lmao:

I tell people DH and I have been married for 15 years and together for 18, they just stare at me for a moment. Then I get the how old am I question. I say 36 and most go, whoa, thought you were mid twenties. Was wondering how you and your hubby have been together so long?!  Quite a compliment and I've gotten it much more since I lost 50 pounds. :goodvibes

A good rule of thumb:

15 - 20: people will tell you you look like 21
20 - 30: people will tell you early twenties
30 - 40: people will tell you late twenties
40 - 50: people will tell you early thirties and bring out the "shocked face"
50 and above: people will tell you early forties

BTW... I think everyone here looks 29 ;)

I don't even say 29 any more, but instead 39. Can't lie too much. :rotfl: And I love my "6th anniversary of my 39th birthday lie". Hey, it's not even a lie, is it? Just me being silly. I'm happy with my age because the alternative really stinks. My mother has never been the type to hide her age and has told anyone who asks (she's almost 83yo). But, I wouldn't mind looking younger! :teeth:

I agree, most are generally *nice* and aware of age issues and don't want to hurt feelings by guessing too high!
Also agree that much depends on weight (a 'baby' face still looks old(er) on a heavier body) our posture, teeth, clothes (trying to look younger by wearing certain junior clothes just screams OLDer).

I'm a 5/6 and DD and i share SOME clothes (being a runner helps! :) ) but i'm careful not to wear stuff obviously for teens.
DD helps choose and *approves* what i wear ;) -- that while i CAN wear teen clothes (and only lets me wear teen jeans) she doesn't want me to look like i'm *trying*. She and her friends say its obvious when women try to do that!

Makes me wonder....how did i EVER dress myself before she became a teen? LOL

And oh dear, how will i possibly know how to dress when she leaves home? ;)

And yes, you all look fabulous!

:)

Im 21, but people think i look younger than i do--it drives me crazy now, but everyone says ill appreciate it when i get older!

I have just started appreciating it! I am 23, but most people think I am 16 or 17. I used to think, "I wanna look older!" but that has changed. I am around a lot of high school/middle school girls because I sub. sometimes. They think I am their age. :smooth: It has it's advantages. I promise :thumbsup2

I admit I look my age - 46 or ever 48 and don't hide it
Right now age doesn't matter to me, as long as I feel okay, I'm satisfied.
I'm VERY low maintance- no make-up, jeans & t-shirts and shop at Kohls.

I guess my second life is looking at my 14 DD and her clothes- Hollister & Abercrombie. They look cute on her, but no way coiuld I ever wear them. :teeth:
