Just adding up some estimates on cost. Does anyone know if we will need to purchase lightening lane the week after Mother’s Day? The one where you will select 3 ahead of time.

For most holidays, there’s usually good reasons to get the Lightning Lane pass and reasons not to. The great thing about Mothers Day weekend is that most kids are in their final month of school and very few have finished by then, so less families are taking a summer trip at that point.

Here’s a link to Thrill Data’s wait time and LL information for Magic Kingdom from this years Mother’s Day to kind of give you an idea what it will likely be like next year

And since it’s buried way down the page, here’s the wait times by hour by ride. There’s a few that stayed busy throughout the day, so if short waits on those are important, it might be worth it to buy the LL package.

You don’t ever need to purchase it. How much do you want to stand in lines vs. how quick you want to get rides done is the question. Or time saved vs. money spent. What’s your group make up… can they stand in lines or do issues make it better to get in quicker? How long are you there for? A long trip & plan more than 1 day per park? Or a short trip trying to squeeze everything in?? What’s your budget situation? Is it already stretched thin?? Are you park open to close people or do you just do part days & spend the rest at the hotel? How will you feel if you only get 3-4 rides with LL? Will you be satisfied or feel it was a waste of money??

Everyone’s situations, budget & trip plans are so different, I don’t see how anyone can answer that question for you.
