Do you think this is enough money for 7 days?

We will be at DW from Nov. 19-25. I got lucky and we should be there by 12noon and on the last day leave at about 4pm to catch a 7pm flight home.

DS -13 and Mom -38 (SHHH don't tell)
Staying at POP
6 days of dining (have the dining plan)

So I am thinking I have lunch and dinner covered for the days we are there. I will have to buy meals on the last day. Breakfast or lunch.

I am thinking of taking:
300 in Disney Dollars
300 in Cash

The meals I buy will be counter service and some snacks. I do plan on shipping a box of PopTarts, peanuts, water.

We will also get the refillable mugs.

Also when checking in do I still need to leave cc on account. I was thinking of using the 300 Disney Dollars and 200 of the cash for that. Just keep 100 of cash out for places that don't take the KTTW card.

I think you still have to have a CC on file, but you can tell them that you will pay in cash or Disney Dollars at check-out and not to charge incidentals to your card. Be sure to use your cell phone or calling card for long distance. If you use a calling card, you'll still have the $0.75 charge per call, but that's better than the outrageous long distance rates! You can ask not to have your CC attached to your room key for park and other purchases.

Is it possible for you to purchase water off site? It's almost going to cost more to ship it than it's worth, even at WDW prices! The other items are fine to ship, as they are fairly light weight.

As long as you aren't planning a lot of character meals or dinner at V&A, you should be fine.

I allocate $35 per day for myself, and usually spend about $25, including bottled water at the parks. I do purchase breakfast stuff and bottled water (for use in the room and first bottle into the park) off site, which averages about $2 per day and is included in my daily total.

I have the dining package on my package. So every day we get a counter meal, sit down and a snack.

So I would only have to worry about breakfast and most of that will be stuff in the room while we get dressed. I know DS will want to go to the park more than anything.

I don't plan on buying to many sovienours or at least that is what I say now. :rotfl:

We just went in Dec. I try not to use Credit cards when we go because it is just too tempting. I had no problem just giving them cash on check in. No credit card at all even fior a "just in case" what this means is that you have to do actual check-out (they willrefund whatever $$ is left over then). No express checkout without a credit card but that has never really bothered me. have fun.

I also do not want my CC on file. I will put down 450 on the KTTW card. I will be shocked if we spend that much. I see us doing more rides and food will be off the Dining plan.

I am taking my Cc only for emergency and that means if I get stuck in Disney and need to stay an extra night or my flight gets delayed. Not because oh that sweatshirt will be so cute.

Can't wait .. already started looking at what days we want to be where and where we should have our sit down meals.
