I know Chef Mickeys books up easy, but has anyone ever got a reservation by calling this soon to a trip. We are going Feb 19th, it was a last minute trip we was originally taking dd10 for her March Bday. Me & DH messed up and let her find out and i wanted to keep it a secret and suprise her So we have moved it up sooner and she has no clue. The last trip we ate there and she really loved it as well as us. I have checked everyday for the past week and still nothing. Anyone ever got lucky to call and get an opening?

Keep checking back online daily and try all different times. People cancel and change all the time......which leads me to the thread on this board for cancelled reservations....just click on feb 2011 cancelled reservations and check that often. Don't give up. I got a ressie for le cellier as we walking out the door to the airport once.
Good luck!

I just saw a reservation for dinner on 2/20 at 9:10pm if that isn't too late. I was searching for 8 people though so maybe all they have is a big table.

I would keep checking online as many times a day as you can because you're going on Presidents' Day weekend and you've chosen a very popular restaurant. If you are flexible about the time and/or day you have a better chance.

There are cancellations all the time so you might get lucky. You can also check with the concierge at your resort after you arrive.

keep checking. 2 days ago I got exactly what I wanted for this saturday night. 520 dinner, I was thinking 5-530!

:)Yes. After trying for months to get Chef Mickeys for dinner, I was able to get the exact time and day I wanted 1 week before we left. Keep checking the online system. Things open up all the time! And it is much easier than calling. :)

Another vote for keep checking! I checked daily for weeks before grabbing some last minute reservations last year. Things pop up all the time, just keep the faith!

just one more ? should i call to check or is doing it online still going to show the same.

Yep, just keep checking. Our December trip was a last minute decision to go to MVMCP and we lucked into a Chef Mickey's ressie about 2 weeks out. I believe that online and calling will show the same availabilities, but I am not 100% on that.

I always call, but I hate that online system. You can keep trying, even the the day that you are wanting to go there. Something may come up. :thumbsup2

Keep checking online but I found it easier when I was at Disney and called each evening to check availability and I always managed to get ressies for stuff I could not get in the first place.

I managed to get Chef Mickey for breakfast for the next morning after making a call about 8pm the night before. I also manged to get bookings for Ohana and Citrico's while I was at Disney. made the call during the day and they had availability.

People cancel all the time. While I was at Disney I had cancelled ressies because we were either not hungry or just tired.

Godd luck

Hi! Don't give up. Just keep checking online dining and the thread on Feb 2011 cancellations. People often make many reservations and cancel them the week before after they finalize their plans. Good luck!

Thanks for everyone that posted about keep trying online. I started looking for a reservation at Chef Mickey's today, and had no reservations on first try....did some googling and ended up on this thread. I kept trying periodically throughout the day....at around 9pm, I tried and got a reservation for exactly the date/time I wanted.

I tried around 8:30pm and there was still nothing.....to the original poster, keep trying!
