doyou buy one for everyone in your party? We were thinking of getting them for the kids but DH and I drink alot of water and were planning on getting a case or two delivered for us. What do you think??

My dh is the only one who gets one for his coffee and soda. My boys and I drink a lot of milk (and mostly only water other than milk), and of course that's not something you can get in them.

Nope. I'm just too lazy to keep walking down to the refill station every time I run out of my 12-14 ounces of drink--plus, if you're in a room that's not close to the refill station--forget it!

We always head to walmart and pick up a case of water for our trip, anyway; we like to have it at the ready.

I agree that it depends on where your room is......

POFQ it usually is......but if you're in the ranchos (? I think....last time I stayed at CSR, that's where we were) at CSR the farthest room away, I wouldn't want to walk 10 min and then sip on the way back and halfway back have to turn around to go back to refill my mug cuz I was already finished with it....

I used to drink a lot of soda, and for me it was definetly worth it. I've stopped drinking soda since that trip and now I don't get them, just because I don't think it's worth it for us. We really just drink water or juice, except at our TS meals. It really just depends on if you like what the selection is and if you'll be drinking mostly those beverages. I suppose it also depends on how much time you plan on spending at your resort. Have fun!

Thanks all. We are staying at WL so I may just play it be ear. We plan on getting water and some other stuff anyway so we may just throw in some drinks to the package.

Yes we do....plus we like to collect them.

DH and I went for 4 nights 5 days in early March and I cannot count how many times we have used them....and (I know I am going to get flamed here) but we are going back in June for 5 days, Oct for 11 days and Dec for 3 days and since the styles of the mugs are not going to chance this year...we will be using them again

They are a good souvenir! I enjoy it for mornings on the balcony or something like that. Really depends on your touring too. My style--I can enjoy that. If you are commando waiting for rope drop at 7AM maybe not..:thumbsup2

This has probably been asked before, but what is the current cost of the refillable mugs?

We got them the last time we stayed at CR and it worked great as we had to go by the food court on our way to and from our room so it was convenient to stop and get them filled on our way to and from the parks.

Thanks

EB

I really think it depends on where your room is located, on how far you are from the filling station.

We got 2 mugs on our last trip. DD and I were pretty much the ones who used them the most. I need my coffee each and every morning and didn't have any problem at all with walking all the way accross Pop Century to get my morning coffee (I'm walking all day anyway right?). In the morning I would sometimes fill the other mug with coffee for DH. Then every night DD and I would walk back down to the food court after we returned from the parks for more coffee and whatever she wanted. For us, it was definitely worth the cost of both of them!

I just got a mug on my last trip and here is the unexpected use and the reason I really liked it:

I took the mug into the parks and when purchasing my lunch, I ordered a large soda for a few more cents. When I finished lunch and still had 1/2 of the soda left, I put it in my mug and carried it around with me in the parks sipping away. You can get onto rides/shows with the mug but not with a regular soda cup. It saved me from having to purchase a soda in the afternoon.

We find them worthwhile for us and DH and I are not soda drinkers. We are coffee drinkers though. We've found that if I am not allowed to have coffee in our villa it gets me moving more quickly. So we do bagels or muffins at the counter service of whichever resort we are staying at (except Boardwalk where the bakery is so slow). So we figure that getting a couple of cups of coffee in the morning makes them worthwhile for us. DH gets more use than me since he's up first and heads over for a first cup of coffee to take to the designated smoking area with him.

I won't flame you and honestly hope others wouldn't as I saw much worse. There were people filling up all types of different cups and bottles; old resort mugs, empty pop bottles and other random travel mugs. The CMs didn't bat an eye. We went in Jan and they still had last year's mugs...if they were the new ones we would use them for our Nov trip.

To answer the OP's question, yes I think they're worth it if you drink a lot of pop. We got them and definitely got our money's worth. I think though that amount of pop consumption added to my weight gain while we were down there, I either need to switch to diet or not get one next time!:lmao:

We always get them - I've done the math and they make sense for us --- now if you could get beer in them I'd never leave the resort!

The OP said shed have water deliverd, where do you order from and can it be brought into the park??

We had a case of water delivered from Costco when we were there in January... it was about $7 delivered... just go to the costco website....
