we're thinking of heading up to disney either this coming weekend or next weekend because we need to use the remaining 2 days on our Play4 Pass by Sept. 30.

do you think the crowds will be better or worse on either of those weekends? we were concerned that the last weekend might be busy because a lot of other people might be there taking advantage of the Play4 before it expires as well.

any comments are greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.

I've been wondering the same thing about crowds. I'll be there that weekend and checked hotel room availability recently and was shocked by how much was sold out. Since there's a chance I may have to cancel last minute, I don't have a hotel room yet but recently checked Hotwire and discovered prices have gone up - which means room availability has gone down!

I'm going to be really bummed if there are big crowds.

anyone else have an opinion? just thought i'd bump this up a bit.

Just talked to a CM today while booking some tickets,, she said that they were really busy but now with school starting things are slowing down a bit.....You have to keep in mind that even if most of the on sites are booked that still wont fill all the parks, people doing a lot of things and going place to place. This is considered their slowest time of year.

We visited WDW in mid-Sept several years ago and the crowds weren't too bad - definitely less than the summer or holiday crowds. We were able to get on most rides in 20 minutes. Also, plan on it being HOT and muggy.

I've read that many foreign visitors come to Orlando in Sept and Oct, particularly from Central and South America. Don't know if this is still true due to the slow economy.

You may want to check out the Trip Reports forum and ask recent visitors about the crowds.

We were there from 8/27 - 9/7. The crowds before Labor Day were horrendous, but they went WAY down after the holiday. The only thing we did notice was there were a lot of English accents there! I believe this is their holiday time.
