Do you think it would be dishonest to let my kids celebrate their birthdays at Disney

My two oldest will be turning 14 on Sept 25th and 9 on Sept 30th. We will be arriving at Disney World on the 28th of Sept, so both of my kids will be celebrating birthdays on the 30th. We will have cake and ice cream with family and friends at home before our trip and just celebrate for the day at disney for their birthdays.

I don't think anyone would have a problem with it, if that's what you want to do. I personally wouldn't do it, as DD8 feels she should only celebrate on the actual day. One year we had her birthday dinner the day after, and she felt weird when she got a free dessert at the restaurant. As with most things, go with what you feel comfortable with and if you're kids are ok with it. Someone may ask them when their birthday is , if you go to a place that has special desserts or singing. That may be uncomfortable for them especially if it's been months. Either way, have fun!!!:cool1: :cool1:

It's not as if you are scamming Disney and getting anything for free. Even if your kids wear buttons, they will be joined by MANY others who are wearing It's My Birthday, Celebrating My Birthday, Happy Anniversary, First Trip, and any other button that is out there. Your kids might get stickers, they might get a cupcake - that's about it. Many, MANY people are at Disney celebrating something or another. Go and have fun! :)

 Do you think it would be dishonest to let my kids each take a day to celebrate their birthday at Disney, even though their birthdays will have passed by the time we take our trip? The only reason I would like to do this for them is they both gave up having a birthday party so they could go to Disney. Budget wise it would have been really hard to pay for 2 parties and go to Disney. I want it to be special for them, but I also don't want to be doing anything dishonest.
I am so glad you started this thread, because this is the exact question I wanted to know. My twins will also give up a birthday party and gifts for our trip to disney. I told them that we could have a special day just for them.
