Do you think I am wrong for not planning a lot of meals?

Ive been 4 times now. The first time was with my then teenagers and we had a meal a day together so we could so somthing as a family. They split off other times to do their own thing together.

The second and third trip was adults only. I had a lot of reservations second trip and none third trip. My only regret about none was I missed some places I wanted to check out. Part because it was booked up and part because I forgot about going.

This past trip we took grandkis and I had a reservation most but not all days. The problem is its harder to be spontanous with a reservation. A kids vacation is so much different than an adults vacation. In hind sight I would book no more than one or two meals and do everything else more spontaneous with small kids. Most sit down restaurants are hard to enjoy with little ones anyway. But my adults only trips will deffintly have many PS reservations.

I like to travel mid September so things are far less crowded. If I was travelling during peak season, maybe I would do things a little differently. So far, we haven't had any problems trying to find a meal when we're hungry. I would like to do the dinner/Fantasmic, though. I'm not sure which restaurants participate. I have to go back through my info to find out exactly. Last time we just booked this the morning we visited MGM. No problem doing it that way at all.
