We had planned to go to Disney for MNSSHP on October 31st. The tickets were bought when they first came out. Since then we have had to gear up for four storms....buying supplies etc...., lost everything in our fridge which had to all be replaced, hotel bills because we were without power and generally a lot of money going out the door because of our lovely hurricanes. Dh and I have gone over and over the budget but even with an extra paycheck this month a trip to Disney is just a luxury we cannot afford right now. Money has been so very tight it squeeks lately. I was wondering if Disney might understand my plight and refund the tickets if I send them back to them? I know they dont normally do this. For us to throw away 132.00 would really hurt as we have three adult tickets and one childs ticket. Halloween night is sold out so Im sure they would have no problem reselling the tickets. Think its worth calling them on Monday?

I've seen folks selling these on e-bay for $200.00 a ticket, hey you might be able to make a few bucks. With what you and family have been through I don't see a problem with you making a few bucks and making some very happy to get them.

Absolutely, Karen. Call them tomorrow, no need to wait til Monday. I am almost certain they will refund, certainly with an explanation. My best to you and all your family.

Dan unfortunately because it is a seperate department I have to call the ticketing department directly and they dont open until Monday.

I am so heartbroken right now. We haven't even told the kids yet. I am dreading that tomorrow. I know I cried. I can just imagine what their reaction will be.

I have never listed on Ebay and I don't know if it is an okay thing to do. I think the tickets are non-transferable. I don't think I can legally sell them except back to Disney if they are willing to do this.

I understand and I think Disney will give a you a full refund when they hear what has happened.I am so sorry that this has happened to your family and the tough times you are now going through. If I said anything in my previous post that upset you,I am sorry.Hope everything will improve for you very soon.

Oh nooooooo danny you didnt upset me at all. Im so sorry if I came off sounding that way. I just wasnt sure if it was okay to do that or if I would get in trouble with Disney. It looks like it is an okay thing to do going by whats posted on Ebay about selling tickets. Ive been reading up on it for the past few minutes. That might be an option if Disney doesnt want to do a refund.

I very very much appreciate your thought and concern and advice. Though we didnt get off easily financially I thank my lucky stars every day that that is all we suffered. So many more in our state lost a whole lot more than we did both financially and in material things.

So sorry to here about your situation. Hopefully we are done with hurricanes. You might want to post about this on the Parks board. I know some people were looking for tickets for that date. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=659966 You could always do paypal so you don't have to worry about exchanging money with someone. Or do the Ebay thing and make a little profit.
