Before the war, it was reported that the Pakistani government claimed the US had captured Bin Laden but the US was denying it. I haven't heard anything else about that (probably due to the war). I can't see what Pakistan would gain from lying but I can think of several reasons the US would lie about it. Who knows.

Most intelligence sources think that Bin Laden is alive and the tape relieased in February was real. Since then, the authorities have been focusing on a couple of areas where is rumoured to be hiding and there have been reports of the Pakistania getting close to capturing him. This seems to indicate that he is still alive.

Don't know about Osama, but I think Saddam is dead. In fact, I think he's been dead for a LOOOOOONG time. I saw this documentry on TLC or something once about him and how he has a lot of people are look-alikes that fill in for him in public. I mean, how are we to know that he hasn't already died and one of those look-alikes just took over his life?

UBL is really under the gun these days. Since his right hand man was captured a few weeks back, he probably hasn't been in the same spot for more than twenty seconds.
