Do you talk about your DIS friends to your parents?

So I was talking to Jenny on AIM and it made me wonder if any DISers tell their parents about the DIS and their friends on here.

I tell my mom about my DIS friends a lot because she's a DISer. I tell my dad some stuff but not that much. He gets confused.

yep I do! my mom's on here too, so she gets it, but my dad thinks we're both crazy cause we're on here so much!

Ma knows about the DIS obviously.
She knows a bit about Shelby, and I think I've probably mentioned Billy.
I don't talk about my DIS friends to my dad tho.

Sometimes, I guess. My mom is a DISer, so we'll mention it to each other sometimes. Like 'Oh, I heard on the DIS that....'

As for telling them about the actual DISers I talk to the most, I don't really. They only really know one, which is Jess (eeyorefan1) because we met up at WDW.

I don't mention specific people really, I'll just say "I read on the Disboards..."
My mom's the one who discovered the Dis, but she doesn't post anymore.
I don't really talk about it much with my dad, cuz he just doesn't care.

I do have some friends I met on neopets like....6 or 7 years ago that I met in RL and we're actually really close friends now and we travel back & forth to visit each other. I remember when I first told my parents about them they were like.... and thought they were cray pervs or something.
We actually met up with them gain in Disney last summer.

I don't talk about specific people too much. except for Tom since we're meeting up in Disney

to both parents.
my dad is the one with the dis account and he's on it alot.
he tells me about stuff on the Dis actually.
and my mom doens't ever get on the computer so she doens't really have an opinion about it.

I used to, but not really anymore.
like yesterday when I was talking to Allison on the phone, my mom asked who it was. if I were to tell her how I knew her, she would have not liked the idea that I was on the phone with one of my "internet friends."
my dad is on the DIS and I may occasionally tell him things about the people I talk to.
But my mom, would think that I'm crazy.

I mean I'll just say "Well on that message boards I do...." because they don't know what DIS means so just say that. I mean even if I did talk about my DIS friends to them they wouldn't really have an opinion. Then to my friends in RL I'll say "oh my friend _____ on the DIS said...." they don't do the DIS but I talk about it so they know what it is

They know I go on here a lot, and they know that I talk to some people on the DIS (like texting them) and for the most part, my parents block their numbers. =|

I've mentioned the DIS to my mom before. Sometimes she freaks out about that stuff tho, she's like, don't give away your person information! But, one of her friends posts on the DIS so its cool.
My dad. I would never mention it to him. He'd freak out and give me a lecture about Internet safety.

They're just like "ok".
