Do you surprise your spouse/family at the Fort/WDW ?

We're usually at WDW during DH's birthday but not this time :sad1: (DH's birthday always falls during spring break....March 22, he turns 47 this Saturday:goodvibes ). Anyway, we always surprise him with something special. At one of the resorts, when we came back from the parks, our room was decorated (gotta love Disney CMs :goodvibes ). Cake, confetti, balloons, and towel animals were everywhere. Last March when we were at the Fort for his birthday, we ordered a cake and it was delivered at TE. We had our own little party at the marina.

I think DH's most memorable moment was in June, on Father's Day. DS and I told DH that it is his day and he can do anything he wants. What did he choose? Hit all 4 parks in one day and ride at least 4 rides in each park. Can it be done? Yes! We did it! And the 4 rides in each park were our favorite rides, and believe it or not, we used Disney transportation :scared1: We had a blast (but very exhausted) and DH earned his bragging rights to 4 parks in 1 day.:)

This thread makes me want someone to surprise me with a trip to Disney...lol

I once came out of the bedroom naked with a ribbon and bow tied around me. All the wife said was, I didn't know they put that much ribbon on a roll.

Well you know the old saying " WDW the place wheres dreams do come true ".;)

On one of our trips while the in-laws had come with us for a couple of days in the parks, the DW stayed late in the parks with the oldest son and her parents while I took the little ones back to the room to sleep.

Well, didn't our DD surprise us all by spiking a temp of over 104 while we weren't able to get ahold of Nancy. By the time she got back to the room, the poor little kid had fever blisters throughout her mouth and was super-lethargic. She had been taking an antibiotic for an ear infection and it raged back with a resistant type of bug. Nothing says surprise like a trip to the urgent care facility at midnight on a Saturday in Orlando. They managed to nail it with something a little more aggressive and the little trooper was back in the parks in two days!

My DH & I always do 4 parks in one day on our very last day at WDW. We call it our bonsai day. We make sure that we do the rides that we like at each park.

4 parks in one day??? Heck, I'm a Florida resident, and that's hardcore even to me!!! lol

Yep, it was a once in a lifetime thing for me. I think it aged me 10 years...well, the next morning it FELT like it aged me 10 years :rotfl:
