Every now an then I try to surprise my DW with a surprise ,,first trip at a cabin was our anniversary, I had a champagne & "for her" basket made up an delivered to the cabin. It came while she was in the shower an SURPRISE ! it was waiting for her when she walked out. ..Another time I set up a night cruise at Epcot to watch the fire-works on the lake, didn't tell her til we arrived at the boat dock.....This season I surprised her with a Segway trip at Epcot (early morning) ,what great fun that was !! I have a few more surprises, I'll tell them them later.....Mr.:goofy: ...... What are your surprises ??

Dh had tux-berries and champagne waiting for us when we stayed at GF (pic of the berries in my signature). At that time we only had one dd and she had the rice krispie chocolate dipped Mickey and milk waiting for her. That was one of my favorite "surprises" at WDW! :goodvibes

Well, aren't you a romantic!:lovestruc

We surprised our kids with the last trip to the fort. We didn't tell them until we were about 3 hours away! We just kept saying we were going camping, we didn't know where, but the further south we got the warmer it would be!

My trip in July is my b-day gift from my hubby. He didn't plan it, though, he knew that he'd be taking half the fun out of it for me if he did!

Sonya, I've been admiring those tux-berries! So cute about the little surprise for your DD too!

I surprised my DH with a wine gift basket that came with two Mickey wine glasses for our anniversary one year...then we ended up bringing it home because I was too sick to drink the wine. :scared1: Another year I surprised my DS5 with a pirate cruise for his 5th birthday. He was thrilled! I'm thinking of surprising my DS4 with one this year because last time he was too young to go with his brothers.

a great kid surprise is a brim fishing excursion with a guide from the Fort dock, you do have to make ressies tho. you should see their little faces beam when they get back. no adults allowed just kids........ Denise

Our last trip to the Fort was a surprise for my kids too. We were on an extended camping trip with stops in the Smoky Mts, visiting friends in Jax Beach and family near Myrtle Beach. The kids had no idea I also planned a week in Disney until we pulled though the gates!

Ya cant keep secrets in this freakin family!!! Id LOVE to surprise them once were already there in May though...maybe I can come up with somethin and keep it to myself.

2GOOFYCAMPERS...you sure know how to make the rest of us look bad!!!! :)

When my daughter was about 10 years old, i had made up a basket with all kinds of goodies. It wasnt my first visit to the fort but it was for the rest of my family. My older son took my daughter for a walk while we set up our pop up. When she came back I told her that Pooh had stopped by and dropped off the basket. It contained an autgraph book, pen, water bottle, pooh sweatshirt, t-shirt, socks, wash clothes, disney dollars, disney candy, I-Zone film, etc. She absolutely loved it, but she didnt believe that Pooh dropped it off.

I surprise DW with the Bill for our stay!!!

DW--"And WHAT do YOU NEED WITH THE ENTIRE MODEL OF EPCOT FOR?!?!?"

RAT--" The train set?!?!?!"

DW--"Oh the train set in the closet that has been out once?"

RAT--"Pre-Planning dear"

Not sure what happens next...I usually wake up on the floor of the TT with the bill DUCT TAPED to my forehead....:confused3 :confused3

I surprised my oldest son with an entire WDW trip and DiveQuest for his graduation :-)

:flower3: When we went to Hoop Dee Doo last October, it was our anniversary that night and I had the Grand Floridian bakery make two miniature cheesecakes each with white chocolate cinderella castle on each and they came out on a silver platter and written on a piece of rolled icing it said "To my prince charming.....you made my wish come true". Our server made such a big deal over it, hubby turned red....It was great. I think for our next trip I might do the pixie thing and surprise him with his very own treasure hunt.:flower3:

Now that is a really AWESOME idea !

After I thought about it...duh...my most romantic surprise was on Jan 16, 1997. I went to WDW for the very first time with my boyfriend. On our second day we went to MK. We walked through the castle and then off to the right toward Cinderella's Wishing Well. We both made a wish, threw our penny in and when I opened my eyes my boyfriend was down on one knee with a sparkling princess cut diamond ring in his hand! :goodvibes We were married that October (not at WDW, but we did have a lot of subtle Disney things in our wedding). Now 11 years and 3 kids later...we're enjoying Disney more than ever with our girls.

The tux-berries didn't come until my birthday in 2003...what was I thinking??

on this trip I surprised my DW with an afternoon at the GF Spa followed by a hair appointment. While she was gone I gave the kids strict instructions not to get her wound up as soon as she got back so they were on their best behavior. We then got dressed and headed out to V&A's for a fantastic dinner while my oldest DD watched the boys.

It wasn't a complete surprise, something like this needs a little notice so I told her on Monday so she could have everything together.

pax,

p.s. she had a wonderful time and the rain this morning helped keep everyone asleep late so we got to sleep in too.

On our Trip in Sept 07, my DD7 turned 8 on our first day in the parks. We told her that her birthday party was going to be the whole trip and we thought that she didn't need to have a "real party" with cake and all. We could tell she was kinda bumed out about it but, was still very happy to go meet Cinderella and all the princesses.
On our 1st day in MK we got to the Castle and DW and I agreed that she would take all the girls to the bathroom to change into their surprise dresses (each one was a dif princess). My DS and I waited by the castle (he had a little of an idea what was going on). When the girls returned DD7 said that she was hungary..we played on that for a few minutes then I asked her if she wanted to eat with Cinderella. She did but, said we can't (she didn't know about the dining ressies I already made and that while she was changing I slipped a gift to the CM to deliver to the table with a card signed by all the princesses).
She ended up getting her party after all, with all the princesses. She was beaming!!! While we were eating her cake she looked at me and told me "Dad this is the best birthday ever"...before I could say anything she said "no, this is the best day ever!" I still get wet eyed when I think of it!!
Of course everyone had a good time, even DS9 (10 now).
She'll remember that forever!
