Do you still buy souvenirs on a cruise?

I still do, if it's something I really want. I don't get souvenirs just to get them, but if I see something I want, I'll buy it. For me, they're reminders of all the good memories of the trip, so I personally don't mind if it doesn't get used super often once I'm back home. Just seeing it makes me smile.

Christmas ornaments and sometimes a Pandora charm.
Gifts for family.

On our first cruise, back with every man for young man or a list of collared shirt to dinner.

He wore them for years. So, on that cruise we came home with a few extra DCL items.

Happy, cruising everyone🚢😎🌴👍🏻

No. We don't buy souvenirs on DCL or in the parks. Much for the reason you stated. I browse at the cute stuff but I know I will have no interest in these things just collecting dust once we are home. When my kids were younger they were allowed to pick out a stuffed Disney animal the first night of our cruise/parks to keep on their beds during the trip. That is the extent of it.

Like others, I always buy an ornament - that’s my main souvenir from every vacation because it’s fun to remember each trip when decorate the tree. My daughter collect pins. Otherwise maybe a coffee mug now and then?

For the last 15 years or so, our souvenirs from WDW usually consist of buying a fleece or sweatshirt or something warm that we wear under our lightweight jacket to fly home since we usually go in the winter. We leave home with just a light jacket and then we don't have to pack that "souvenir" fleece on the way home. I also buy some jewelry occasionally.

Likewise with a lot of other trips, we rarely buy much in the way of souvenirs any more unless it's something really unique that we love. There's always room in the closet or my dresser for more clothes but my shelves and walls are pretty full.

In fact, most of what we buy these days are for the little nieces and nephews and not much for ourselves. As much as I would like that haunted mansion mug, I've downsized the glasses and mugs and other dishes in the cabinets that we never use so I have a hard time justifying buying more (okay, I did buy two colour-changing poison apple mugs two years ago and a pair of matching Mickey and Minnie wineglasses but I needed those).

We will pick up the small magnet or a year specific T-shirt or something but that's about it anymore. I had to tell my wife we are not expanding the kitchen again so that we have room for all her coffee mugs she has collected from all over the world that have not seen the light of day once put inside the cabinet. :D

Like others as kids have gotten older, we purchase less. I used to go for the themed tshirt for the family (e.g. Christmas) but last few were so cheaply made they fell apart after a couple of washes.

We usually buy an ornament for the Christmas tree, cups that we use on board, pins and sometimes a jacket. We buy a popcorn bucket for the cheap refills.

s there a point at which you stop buying souvenirs?
We have souvenirs from just about all our cruises. Mostly magnets. If it's a new (to us) ship, we will get a shirt as well. But that's about all we do now.

I don’t buy any more. However, I usually do a drawing class and I come home and put that with my others in an album I have of my and family/friends drawings at Disney venues.

I look at the dates, and smile and remember.

I also stop bringing “Anyone can cook” recipes because I won’t.

Not really. When we go on the newly released ships, we get the mini ornament as they adorn the chandelier in our breakfast nook. If they had nice men's pullovers, I'd get one of those (been wearing the one I got in 2014 for far tooooooo long my daughters tell me)

We really don't buy much in the way of souvenirs from any of our travels. I will get a magnet and an ornament for our tree since they are small and take up only a little bit of room. I prefer to get spice mixes or specialty salts for cooking from the places we go. Without fail the last few trips I purchased salt my carryon bag has been flagged for extra screening. As for Disney souvenirs we have a local character warehouse that sells all the merchandise from the parks and cruise line at deep discounts so if it ends up there, I'll buy it.

Shirts, a sweatshirt if I see one I like, a pin that says year, a Christmas ornament and if I don’t have ship model that and a coffee mug

We don't set out to buy souvenirs but, like others, we seem to find clothing, magnets, and stuff that we must have. Sometimes, the craft stuff we make on the sailing makes us buy a souvenir in the form of a suitcase so we can bring the stuff home--especially on the DVC member sailings. 8-)

Wife will get a Christmas ornament and if I like a T-shirt or hat I might get it but not too often. When my daughter's were younger and came with us we bought some every cruise.

we are not big into buying stuff on cruises in general. on our recent wish sailing we didn't buy anything, we found the offerings not that enjoyable.

I love Disney shopping. DH knows I want a little time by myself each trip to choose a few things I love, so we make time for it. I will definitely get an ornament but also usually get everyone a t-shirt too.
