Do You Stay At Other DVC Resorts Than Home Resort?

We own at SSR and haven't stayed there yet. We've used our points at DL - GC & PP and also at BCV & OKW. Our next trip, in 2008 we are hoping to split our two weeks at VWL, AKV and BW. We figure we can stay at SSR when we can't get in anywhere else.

Just curious if people out there stay at the other DVC Resorts than their home resort.

So far we've stayed only at DVC resorts other than our home (SSR). Most stays are at BWV (6 week-long stays + 1 shorter stay)-- but we've also enjoyed 2-night breaks at OKW and Vero. Hoping to add a few nights at Animal Kingdom to next year's visit.

It may be a long time before we visit SSR???

We met a OKW owner at Thanksgiving, staying at SSR and she told us she had been a member for 8 yrs and had yet to stay at OKW.

Of Course, that's half the fun. I love SSR, but I like other resorts JUST as much and being able to experience that is one of the big reasons I bought into DVC. Even if the Poly becomes a DVC someday and I buy there, I would still try other resorts... although I would pick that the most often of course since it is my favorite!

We stayed at BCV, SSR and VWL and have loved them all. This trip we are booked for SSR but may switch that to OKW just to give it a try. I love trying the different resorts and like them each for different reasons.

Our home is VWL, we've also stayed at BCV, OKW and SSR. We also have a trip booked for BWV in Sept. And we'll definitely stay at AKV once it is open. I like the variety so we'll continue to stay at the various resorts.

We own VWL (and love it!!) but we have also stayed at BWV, SSR and OKW. SSR was tooooo big for me but other than that we have enjoyed all of them. We want to try them all.

Our home resort is VWL, but we have yet to stay there. When we bought in back in 2000, we were unaware of the resale market and thought this was the only place we COULD buy.
Our favorite has always been OKW; we've stayed there numerous times, once in a Grand Villa. We tried BCV once. It was okay, but I don't like the big hotel feel. Our new favorite is SSR, though, as we stayed here twice this year already!
Oh - We may be staying at VB this November, too!

I have 155 HH points and 50 BCV points. I've only stayed at HH for 3 nights, although we have an upcoming trip this August. I've stayed 5 nights in BCV, but not using our BCV points.

The only ones we haven't stayed in are Boardwalk and Vero Beach; hoping to get here soon. Most of the time, we use our points at OKW.

We intended to, but I'm lazy. We always book far in advance when we can only book home, we are content home (even though I like VWL better), and home gives us what we need. We are "biannuallers" so it isn't like we get tired of home. We also travel in busy October. Maybe sometime.

Our initial purchase was OKW, and we've added on at BCV.

I'd say about 75 percent of our trips are at OKW. We LOVE the space and the decor.

We've also stayed at BWV, Vero, VWL and BCV.

If it's warm summer months, we tend to stick with BCV because of SAB.

We have intended to try other resorts, but we cannot pull ourselves away from our beloved SSR. We have had 2 trips there so far and have 2 more planned for later this year.

We were non owners when we visited VB, but became owners as soon as we got home from that one. The only DVC we haven't stayed at is HH, and we own BWV, VWL, VB and AKV.

Our June trip is BCV and SSR, 2 that we don't own at.

We like 'em all. Stayed in all of 'em, too, except HH, and we'll check it off the list this Thanksgiving.

Honestly, at the risk of being a heretic, we like them all about the same, each for different reasons. I guess we're just easy to please.

Sure! That's the beauty of the DVC...you can try all the reosrts! We have been at all of the on-property ones except VWL. We had a trip planned for there one year, but my father had surgery, so we postponed it and by the time we rescheduled, VWL wasn't available anymore so we ended up at OKW.

We were just at SSR last month. Our home resort is OKW.

We have only stayed at BCV, & VWL but I am very excited because the 2 upcoming trips are for BWV. I always wanted to try them. Don't know if I will try the others. They are beautiful but I tend to be a creature of habit. I don't usually try new things. Maybe someday!

My wife has been gun shy to return but Stormalong Bay has finally drawn us back.

We have had many wonderfull return trips since but this will be our first trip back to BCV!
