I feel like I don't actually "sleep sleep", it's more of a rest. I'm constantly waking up in fear of NOT waking up and then missing the flight.
Plus my head is usually swimming with "last minute" stuff.
I love the waiting excitement feeling though!!

i usually take some benedryl so i can sleep. i try to tie up all loose ends before i go to bed, so all i have to do is wake up and grab stuff and go. but yeah, its hard to sleep.

That's me exactly. It doesn't help on the sleep factor that we usually take the 6:30-sh flight in the morning the day we leave. In order for us to get to the airport just an hour before our flight leaves, and get to the airport from the off site parking site, we have to get up at the very latest 2 - 2:30 am.

My trip is almost 2 months away and I can't sleep from now.

My trip is 5 months away and I still lay awake at night thinking about our Disney trip.

OK-never fails....2 days before my trip i wake up an extra hour or 2 early and find things to do-pack extra clothes, take the dog for a super long walk, clean etc. then i go to work and my day is as usual-so that...the night before i feel tired and sleep..in theory I should but...NO i still wake up every few hours...hmmm did i leave a detailed enough note for the lady who watches the dog?..did i pay the electric and the cable-I'd like to come home to TV and lights....is my house clean enough-in case anyone (who has a key) needs to get in??...did i finish all my work so they dont hound me while i'm away-i know i cleared my online history (heehee-i'm on the boards all afternoon)...then its...ok if we have lunch ressies at noon and we get in at 9-we can do how many rides at 20 minute wait times...then i kinda fall asleep...only to wake up to the door handle jiggling and the door creeking...(whispers)mommy is it time to go...NO-go back to bed..(door closes)then i poke hubby's rib..it is time to go?? ugh-that always fun...can he just pretend to be excited-for me at least-no-its go to bed! Geez-like i'm the kids...then the alarm goes off-and wouldntcha know-i'm super tired (wonder why) and ask for 5 more minutes...then he's excited and he cant wait for me to wake up...then its rush rush out the door-vroom off we go....

:rotfl: OH no I was going to try the getting up early a few days before routine this time around but I can see it didnt work so good for you. It might just make me extra extra tired:lmao:

You know that Disney commercial where the kids get busted for still being awake and mom rolls over to dad and says "are you asleep" and he says he is too excited?

That's exactly how it is at our house the night before every Disney trip. :)

In October we are flying instead of driving (I HATE to fly) so I should be awake for approx 3 days before we go worrying about the flight....:scared1:

I always want to sleep but never do. We normally drive so we leave from PA at midnight and drive straight thru. So as soon as I get home from work around 3 I am up until midnigh and normally until we get to Disney!! I doze off in the car but not to good because I can hear every little sound.

I most often than not fall asleep the night before because i'm so excited and I want the time to pass fast.

We booked a direct flight from Seattle(which is hard to get) that leaves at 11PM. So I will be sleeping peacefully on the plane with the help of two Dramamine! Hopefully refreshed for a a full day at Epcot the next day!

my trip is booked for august 11th - 19th and our flight leaves at i believe nine in the morning which means an early wake up call. It will be me, boyfriend, and our 3 friends all going and were all planning on just staying at my boyfriends house the night before and I have a feeling none of us will be sleeping very well. We keep quoting the commercial "I'm too excited to sleep!!!"

We're on the red eye from SEA for our August trip! :yay:

I gave up trying to sleep the night before vacation and book the red eye if possible for trips back east. It's just the way we roll LOL! :rotfl:
