Do you Shop on Black Friday????

Are you one of the crazed that go bargain hunting at 6 am on the day after Thanksgiving?

I've gone out later in the day but never EARLY in the morning. Just wondered who'd be out shopping that day.

I got up super-early and did it once. It was utter madness. Have been considering it this year, but I'm not sure yet.
We usually just go later on in the afternoon.

ME!!!!! Its the only day that I get to go shopping without my kids and I have a blast!!!!!!! Can't wait to go this year!!!!

DW will, she gets up nice and early and is usually home by 10...
I will be Home making calls to my people and have them pick up stuff for me...
I hope to get my BF to get some electronics & SIL to pick up some stuff also...

Now there are certain things you might have to pick up for me...

I did it once--the year Tickle Me Elmo was THE toy to get!! It was fun and the traffic wasn't bad at all......don't think I need to do it again, though. No more kids at home!! Besides, THIS year I will be busy doing laundry and packing for WDW and Dis Con II!!!! Yippeeeeeeee!!!!!!

I have gone out on Friday evening before and found it very managable by then.

We have a ritual every year and have a blast!! I can't wait! We hit McRaes and the Cracker Jack Box sale first (They give out boxes of Cracker Jacks with Gift Certificats, Jewelry and percentages off) Then its on to J.C. Penney where I actually won $100 dollars once...and the ornament giveaway....then its over to Stein Mart where they give out little wallets where you can win things. Its so much fun!!!!

There really isn't anything I'm looking for this year...already have J.C.'s on layaway so I'm hoping to get a good deal on a 2nd Christmas Tree.

I actually work IT Support for a Retail Company, so it is All Hands on Deck at the office for Black Friday (and the whole weekend).

Absolutely! I love it!! I'm usually out the door by 5:30 am, and home by about 11:00 am. Then I start the decorating. Last year my oldest daughter came with me and we had a riot.

Ugggh..... Last year SO dragged me to Staples at like 6:30 in the morning, and people were already waiting in a line to get in. We had one thing in mind, and were like the 10th people back, but did we get it? NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think they had like 2 and the first 2 people got it. (It was a palm pilot that was like $150 off). I was P.O. We also stopped by BestBuy and some other stores I think. The day wasn't a total waste though, to make it up to me SO suggests we go over to WDW for the rest of the weekend. So we drive home, make some hotel arrangements, pack a few things, and we are in Kissimmiee by 1:00pm. Of course we had to go that way so we could stop at the Staples on 192............ but the best ending to any aggravating day is going to Epcot, having a nice dinner and watching Illuminations.

of the year, but I love Black Friday. Spend Thanksgiving afternoon going through the ads, prioritizing what I want, what store it's at, and when it opens. Bring all ads in case we need to price match, wear light clothes so we freeze in line, but don't sweat in the store itself, bring large tote since there's never enough shopping carts, bring a drink and granola bar, etc. Wal-Mart's open 24/7 so get there about an hour before the sale starts, on to Best Buy, Target, Shopko, aaaaahhh... Wouldn't do it except the prices are SO cheap on some items...

No way. I can't stand crowds. I always feel like I'm going to faint when I shop in a crowded store. My goal is to be done shopping by Thanksgiving each year, but I never meet that goal completely. I do the rest of my shopping during slower shopping hours.
