I would think they would sell like hot cakes, IF your DD and her troop mates were selling them. Finding GS cookies in after the first week in March around her is a miracle. I could use some more thin mints ;)

That's what I was thinking. My boys nearly killed one another over the last sleeve of thin mints. pirate: It wasn't pretty.

Thanks everyone, I actually have two scouts on the same troop - so they will both be in their uniforms on the sale day. Maybe we will try the soda/water in a cooler idea too next to the cookies! They will be excited to do it and I will be VERY glad to get the cookies out of my house!!!!!

I would check with your state health codes before doing so. I know in Oregon (at least it was this way a couple years ago) you couldn't sell food that you prepared unless you listed it as 'suggested donation'.

When we lived in California we sold doughnuts and coffee one time and it went over really well. However last time we did a garage sale here in Oregon we tried going the hot dogs route and wound up with a whole lotta food left over. Just depends really.

What does everyone think about selling Girl Scout Cookies at our yard sale? We have just scheduled our sale in 4 weeks and as of now still have 100 extra boxes of cookies........does anyone think they will sell, or not? thanks!

Oh yeah, they'll sell. One year my husband over-committed and promised to buy cookies from a number of scouts. We ended up with mass quantities of thin mints, which we put in the freezer. Later in the year, when we realized there was no way we were going to eat all those cookies, DH took them to work. He sold them all in two days.
