Do you rent towels or bring them when you go to the water parks?

(FYI - I posted this originally on the main planning board, but then thought it would be better placed over here)

I know you can rent towels at the water parks, but how big are the rented towels - are they beach towel sized or are they the kind you get at the disney pools?

also is it a dollar a towel, a dollar for a group of towels, or what?

We will be staying at a DVC studio, so we don't want to bring the towels from our room. My wife wants to bring a big beach towel but I don't want to pack it if I don't have to.

(Someone suggested taking towels from our pool, but would the BCV's quiet pool be open yet and have towels available for the taking? would it not look weird/suspicious if I just came over, took a bunch of towels, and went back inside the resort?)

Any answers to the above or other suggestions/advice would be greatly appreciated!!

We always rent towels, they are the same size as the ones at the resort pools. The towels at the pools are meant to be used at the pools, I know people occasionally take them to their room when they need an extra (I've been guilty of that) but they do get returned to the right property. The pools at the waterparks sometimes get 'legs' while you're swimming.

We always bring our own beach towels because we like to wrap up in them in the car going back to the resort. We don't change at the water park.

We take our own towels - this past May I ordered Disney towels off of Disneyshopping.com for $5 ( Pirates & Cars), they were waiting for us when we got there (with a bunch of other stuff - got free shipping!), and we had really nice souvie towels to take home - DD used one as a blanket on the plane, so not really extra room required in the luggage, the other one just layed on the top of all my WDW souvies in a small suitcase as a kind of cushion to protect them. Great to use at the waterparks, and we had a 1 bdrm so I just washed them when needed.;)

I always rent the towels when we go. At 1$ a towel it is a small price to pay to not have to carry towels - especially WET ones at the end of the day!!! Compared to the other things we buy at Disney this is worth it.

we always arrive at the waterpark in the bathing suit, and rent towels. We bring a dry set of clothes to change into, and dump the towels. We never have a car, so use the buses, and man can they be cold!!! I also hate having to lug around a wet towel!!

We take beach towels and a beach bag, actually a couple of beach bags. One with towels and one with drinks and snacks. We drive to WDW so we bring alot of stuff..

We rent and bring a few of our own - when the kids were younger (and even for us adults), it helps to let your seating area stand out a bit. The chairs/lounges all look the same (white towels) when you are searching for your spot :)
