Do you remember the weather the day your kids were born?

We kept the newspapers from those days. That way, if my kids ask, I can go back and look.

My son was born TODAY

July 6, 1993

We were in the middle of a very bad heatwave . . .The temps were well over 90 degrees and very humid . . .Thunderstorms were daily and when I was still in the hospital we lost power one night and the generators came on . . .

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PATRICK!!:bounce:

Man, how well I remember that time period!!! I was pregnant too. Spent a lot of time on the Cape at the in-laws that summer. But anyway....
#1...10/1/73.....warm, sunny
#2....7/30/76....hot
#3...10/25/93...beautiful fall day...70's, bright and sunny!!!

And Happy Birthday Patrick....you're a big ole 11 now!!

Happy Birthday Patrick and congrats Melissa on the birth of your DD, 6 weeks ago!!:bounce::Pinkbounc

I have no clue what the weather was like - I was holed up in the hospital! LOL

DS #1 was born on June 4, 2001 & DS #2 was born on August 29, 2003. So, chances are it was hot & humid both days.

DD#1 was born at 11:18PM, September 2nd but I had been in the hospital for two and a half weeks before so I wasn't outside to enjoy the weather. DD#2 was born on August 27th and 9:40 PM after a very hot day. I had to stop for a contraction on the way out to the car. DH kept telling me to hurry up because he was afraid I would be sprayed by a skunk.

I was born in a hospital in MN that borders the Mississippi river. The town dam broke on the day I was born. My dad remembers watching the river rage outside. When I joined "Indian Princesses" through the YMCA, my Indian name was Running Water.

I can only go by what DH tells me it was, but it was HOT, sunny and beautiful. I didn't see any daylight that day, I was kinda busy.:D

It was quite cold the February morning that I had my daughter...we never really get "COLD" days here in Florida, but it sure was THAT morning!!

My son was born May 10th. I remember it being very very warm for early May in Minnesota, near 90, when I went in, but normal temps when I went home.

My dd I remember more clearly. She was born Jan 13th, in Minnesota. When I went into the hospital, it was around 48 degrees!!!! Very very warm. They day we went home (2 days later) it was -12.

Oh Yes!
I had been in the hospital for over 3 weeks trying to keep her from being born. We were in a bad drought and the day she was born it rained for the first time in ages. I thought it was a good omen and sure enough, she's perfect!

nothing too dramatic here.

older dd was born in November, right after Election Day. beautiful fall weather, not too hot but not too cold. the fall foilage was at its peak.

younger dd was born in July -- a hot, sunny day.

my mother tells me I was born during a storm. it was february, and it was so windy that the hospital's glass doors blew right off their hinges.

I will never forget!! Blizzard of '96 here in the DC area when my first daughter was born. I said "never again!" Second daughter was born on a beautfiful WARM September day!!!

Oldest dd was born in October and it was a beautiful fall day. Youngest dd was born in February and it was your typical blah wintery day and the flu was running rampant, so no one could be in the room with me and the baby unless they were family. I was going stir crazy and ready to go home!

My daughter was born in between two big snowstorms... one known here as the "Blizzard of '78". We came home 3 days before it began and were snowed in for almost a week. The actual day she was born was sunny & cold, I guess you could call it the calm before the storm!

No I don't remeber the weather. I had been in the hospital for two weeks prior and because I had preeclampsia the doctor would not even let the curtains in the room to be open. Absolute quiet and darkened room. Yuck because my room looked out on Biscayne Bay and there were always sail boats in the bay. Had no idea what the weather was.

Yep, it was a really warm November day. Not a cloud in the sky the day my DS was born. The day my DD it was cold and snowy. ;)

Thanks MinMate-I hope we get to sleep soon too. (I'm up because I know she will be at midnight )

Happy Birthday Patrick! :D (for another 1/2 hour, anyway)

Well, since the kids were all born late summer/early fall in California...

Sunny and warm pretty much covers it. :sunny:

Sure do-seems like yesterday even though it's 26 years on the 19th!
DS HOT! Couldn't wait to get to the hospital because it was air conditioned! Very clear, sunny all the time I was home from work.
DD Also hot-end of August. I think it was one of the driest August's on record here. Waited at home too long, DH trying to push me to get into the car. Anybody try to walk when you're having a contraction?!:scratchin
