Do you reconfirm ADRs?

Just wondering if others reconfirm there dining reservations? I've made a few cancellations and just don't want anything mixed up or misplaced. I have my confirmation number. Anyone had trouble with a reservation being messed up? :confused3

If they're important, yes, we do. We've had a few mixups with important PSs in the past, but almost nothing that a manager couldn't fix. Worst one was the mixup a CM made with our California Grill Valentine's Day reservation, and thankfully we called a month ahead to check on it.

I called about 2 weeks ago to check on ours. There were several I had cancelled that were still on our ressies, so they took those off. Everything that should have been there was fine. I called again yesterday to check them again. We are leaving tomorrow so I wanted to be REALLY sure.

The only really weird thing was a ressie for 14 people for breakfast (I think) that wasn't ours! The CM didn't cancel it because then 14 people would have been up a creek, but if those folks call to check ADR's the CM won't have it listed for them. I guess if they have the confirmation # the CM can find it. Anyway, it pays to double (and triple) check! :)

Absolutely check, and double check.I know its easier for me as I have unlimited long distance, but we got a call about a week ago about an ADR we made for the CP-they had us down as Marrakesh when I had actually booked for Teppanyaki, and the $ amount didn't match..I will check again in about a week when all of our ADR's are made.(most are done-waiting on my sis for an ADR for a night out for her and DBIL)

::MickeyMo I've never called again to reconfirm once they were made. I do however keep the confirmation numbers with me at all times. It's amazing what they can do. Once they couldn't find our ADR for Le Cellier (oh no!), but luckily we had the confirmation number and they were able to find it. Turns out that they spelled the last name wrong (used a "s" instead of a "c"). Just keep those numbers handy! They can really pull you out of a jam. ::MinnieMo

So you can reconfirm them - I was curious about this, I just want everything to go well smoothly on our trip in a couple of weeks. :bride:

Keep up with your ressie confirmation numbers...take them with you to all meals. We usually have a good many reservations, and once in each of the last two trips, disney-dining has messed up one. Not too bad, considering, but mistakes are made. In '03, they booked DW and DD7 (a mom/daughter princess breakfast) two months early, on Aug 1st instead of Oct 1st. We only caught it due to those being held with a $10 deposit each, and we saw a $20 charge to our cc statement. We called and a dining-manager 'forced' in a new reservation for a totally booked Oct 1st. But we had to go directly to the restaurant to remove the $20 charge.

This trip, we had Monday LTT ressies, and they couldn't find them. We gave them the number and it listed us for Thursday. They gave us a table quickly, though, even though they were booked.

Having the reservation number really helps, vs. just giving them your name. In future trips, we'll call to confirm as well. Have fun!!

::MickeyMo Yes, Disney is very accomodating. I'm surprised you had to go to the restaurant to remove the charge. We had to adjust our CRT from 4 to 2 people and refunded the money right over the phone, same day. Strange. ::MinnieMo

When we asked (in 2003), they said the Akershus restaurant (princess breakfast) had made the charge (since the date had passed), so we'd have to get them to remove it. I don't know the setup, but it seems the Epcot restaurtants have some independence from WDW...maybe?
We were a little peeved that they (disney-dining, or Akershus) couldn't refund it back over the phone. Since DW/DD were going there anyway, DW just took the cc-statement and they gladly credited it.
