Do you really have a lot of food left on the table.

14 days away and 1st time on DDP. Our goal with the plan is to enjoy nice places and a variety of food without worrying about what we spend. Not really trying to "get the most for our money". So.. we are not big eaters and often share meals. The thing is we are not really big breakfast eaters and have not chosen any signature places so we do not need any more credits. Will we end up leaving large amounts of uneaten food or will be pretty much graze our way through meals. DS 14 is a prett big but picky eater.

Thanks for your experences,
Ms Sandra

If you are like us, you won't leave a lot of food on the table. But you'll bring home a giant bag of cookies, brownies and rice-crispy treats you couldn't eat at the time.

I wouldn't worry about it either way. Go. Enjoy. Order what you're interested in eating/trying. Eat just as much as you want, no more. Leave the rest. Bring whatever you want back to your room, if you want, or don't -- you're choice. And don't worry about whether or not you actually end up eating any/all of it. None of that matters. All that matters is that you have a good time and enjoy your meals.

That is the plan. Sounds like it will work fine. Might even make room for three deserts!

Thanks

MsSandra

Nope I didn't leave alot of food on the table. But I was way too stuffed and I should have left some food on the table. I just can't let good food sit there without finishing it...guess that explains why I gained 3 pounds between the first of December and the end. A Disney trip plus Christmas and New Years does that. :rotfl2:

We left quite a bit. More than half the time we asked for our desserts to go, then ate them for breakfast in the morning.

Many times, my kids (3 & 4 at the time) ate off our plates, which is why we still had credits left our last day.

Oh, how I love free dining.:goodvibes

I found as the trip progressed, we shared meals and still had leftovers to take back to the room. My group is big eaters. I did take the leftovers back to the room, (with looks from my children), including the desserts to go, and someone always asked later in the room, did you take that food from the restaurant?

Never any food left for us either. We do often take the deserts to go if we are leaving the park right after. We have started using counter service for some breakfasts now and share a CS for lunch if we have a big dinner reserved. If not, eating 2 CS for lunch then a big dinner is too much too soon for us. The Pepper Market has a great breakfast menu -- so far the best one I've found at CS/resorts.

Thanks again for sharring. I just read on another post to put zip lock bags in your bag to carry any leftovers. It should cool enough to take a few things back to the room and into my fold up cooler.
