Do you "plan" pics at Disney?

Just happened upon the scrapbooking page again-can you believe I think I found it once and forgot about it??? I love scrapbooking so this is a happy place for me. I'll never forget it again!

Quick question-I'm a little crazy about my scrapbooks. I typically have an idea in mind when I'm taking the picture or going to a location. When you're going to Disney (or anywhere else) do you have set places that you take certain pictures because you know it will be a cute page or it's a tradiation?

TIA!

I sure do. We've been to Disney yearly for the past few years so pictures can be repetitive, so I think about pictures I haven't taken previously and go for those. In the past I wasn't much of a ride photo person, (not the bought ones), but seeing the fun layouts of rides here and other places, I try to remember to take pics of the rides and signs and so forth, that I may need in scrapping later on.

We'll always want those "same" pics year after year of us at the castle/sse/tree/hat. They let me see how the kiddos have grown and those are always fun pics to have. When we watch parades, we try to view them from a different area and on the other side of the street, for our video/pics. You know it's funny... Donald is my son's favorite and no matter which side we sit on, at the MK parades, he is ALWAYS on the other side! The daytime, Boo to You and Spectro!!! Maybe in June he'll be on our side!

Good question! It depends who is with us. When we took our grandson last Nov, we made sure that certain locations were included with him in them. Not every day we get to spend this length of time with him alone, so the pix were special.
Since he is 9 now, he even helped me select which pix to scrap, and how he wanted them arranged. Loved his input and with him doing a little journaling himself, the book became more personal.
If it is just DH and myself, we look for places we have not photographed yet -kind of bypass more traditional "photo locations." It really is a matter of personal preference.

You mean there is another way to do it?!:rotfl2:

I make sure to get a picture if there is a particular swap item I need it for......I think I have it backwards.....I pic around my swaps not scrap around my pics:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Yep, I have a list going because this will be the last time we go for at least 2 years because one of our kids starts college in 2 years... so I have to get my life organized w/ that new adventure..and than 3 more kids going through HS and than college right after that.. So right now I have pages of photo ops I want...and we are taking 4 digital cameras!!! I love getting photos through the eyes of my kids!!!!

i'm with lisa....

is there another way????:lmao:

I thought I was the only one who did this! :rotfl2: I even take a list sometimes with swap stuff that I have that I know I don't have pics for! :rotfl:

Yep, definitely plan out the pics according to swaps I have. On our last trip we ate lunch at Pecos Bill's (we don't normally do much counter service) and I had to make sure to take pictures because I knew I had a great Pecos Bill's swap to use!

Yet another sign of a swapaholic....

I do the same thing- although I also look at my park albums- I am just about finished with EPCOT but I don't have any pictures of Mission Space or Test Track so next week when Larry has a doctor's appointment in Orlando we are going to stop at EPcot and get pictures there and of the Flower and Garden festival since we haven't been up yet this year. I have been known to convince Larry we have to go to DW just to get a picture I needed for a page I was working on in the scrapbook. If we move this summer and it is only an 1 hour 15 minute drive then it will be even easier to do this.
