Do you or would send a gift to something you did not get an invite to?

If I care enough to send a gift to honor an event in someone's life. It makes no difference if I am invited to a party/function that also is related to that event.

:thumbsup2

Yes, and I have. For instance...my cousin's daughter got married a few states away, we were not invited. But I sent them a card, along with a gift card to Target.

I really think it depends on how close you feel toward the couple and/or their family. Do what your heart tells you. All couples deserve a 'congratulations', at the very least.

To the OP-what occasion caused this post?

I would think if you are not invited to an event-you would not send a gift. I find all these instances odd(to send something when you are not invited)
:confused3

Depends on what it is.. Sometimes yes, sometimes no..

Babies are my weakness..:lovestruc If I hear that someone has had a baby (a friend of a friend; one of my adult DD's friends; cousins of my DD's DH; etc.), I usually send a gift..:goodvibes

The person I am today would not send a gift. If I was the same ole gal from the past I might have sent a gift without thinking.:rotfl:
